  1. I know that the lists are not 100% updated or accurate, but it seems I get unlisted ones more than one would expect. My son and I are staying there for a swim meet, but for one night over the weekend my wife and other son will be joining us. The Clarion isn't really in the realm of acceptable romantic lodging as I probably could have gotten away with the Baymont being a little more upscale. Oh well, that's the gamble of Hot.wire and Price.line. Anyway, the complete amenities are as listed below: Complimentary Free Internet Free breakfast Amenities Business center Fitness center Pet friendly Pool(s) Accessibility In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking
  2. Hotwire Hotrate Deal for 2.5* Amenities are: Free breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Pet friendly - terms apply Fitness center Pool(s) I have to say this is one of the first times that I am dissappointed with my deal. I looked at the BetterBidding Hotwire list and was expecting Baymont Inn as that is the only 2.5 * listed for both Hotwire and Priceline. I got a deal, but the rooms are not what I was expecting (doors open to the outside rather than to the inside). Buyer beware on 2.5 star in Greenville!
  3. I tried naming my price for a 3* in the Central Columbia zone for 7/23 thrugh 7/26. I tried $65 and was rejected. Strange thing was I chose 3* not 3.5* and was going to choose 3.5* next with a slightly higher bid. It wouldn't let me. I waited a couple of days and tried again with the same options this time I bid $70. Again rejected and again it did not let me upgrade my choice to 3.5*. I looked over and purchased a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $82 for a 3* in Central Columbia. I paid the following Room Subtotal: $246.00 Taxes & Fees: $49.17 Total Charged: $295.17 The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal showed a 3* hotel in Central Columbia for $82/night with the following listed amenities: Free Breakfast Free Internet Free Parking Swimming Pool Fitness Center Business Center As always I was sure to use the PRICELINE links from this site!

  8. <_< Well I have been trying for a while now to win a bid on Priceline in this area. I started at $55 for a 3* and worked my way up to $67 with no luck. I saw this deal on Hotwire for $62 for a 3* and figured it was within my target so I gave it a try. I would have preferred Marriott Courtyard (which I have stayed at before) or Hyatt, but we will see what the La Qunita Inn and Suites is like. I failed to note the amenities so be kind! And YES I did use the betterbidding.com links for PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. Total for 3 nights starting on 2/14-2/17 with taxes and fees ended up being $224.15.
  9. Just to confirm I was looking for a hotel on January 17th and 19th. I do not recall all of the bidding data, but will try to do better next time. I am beginning to bid on a hotel in Greenville, SC. I have kept a spreadsheet of my bids and am now using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links referred to above.
  10. Though its not a winning bid. I wanted to share that I purchased a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal through Priceline for a 3* hotel in North Augusta Zone for $52 a night on 1/17 thru 1/19. I was pleased to see that the the hotel was the Courtyard Marriott. Taxes and fees totaled $26.64 which gave me a total of $130.64. I did this after bids for $45 and $49 were rejected in the same area (and Augusta West) for the same level hotel. I finally bid for $55 in the same zone at 3.5* and then expanded to Augusta West and got rejected. At this point the $52 express looked like a worthwhile deal. I had seen on Hotwire that they had Secret deals for $41 in North and $43 in West for 3*, but when comparing amenities, I wasn't too sure I liked the hotels that looked like they were matching up (based on the pet friendly amenity which greatly filtered down the options). The same deals were seen today at $40, but I was still thinking it was that it was the same hotel I had suspected from the previous day. Either way.... Express deal for $52 got me the Courtyard Marriott.
  11. I'm sitting here shaking my head. I've been researching and bidding for two days now on PRICELINE for a room in Augusta, GA for 1/7 thru 1/19. I have had bids for 3* hotels rejected at $45 and $49 in both North and West Augusta Zones. I just bid again at $55 for 3.5*. I see on hotwire under their Secret hot Rate hotels that there are 3* hotels in North and West Augusta offering $41 and $3 respectively. Any ideas? I was under the assumption that lower bids (or equal bids) on priceline would get such deals that are offered in these. Any thoughts? I already purchased a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $52 and got the specific hotel I was looking for (lucky), but am still curious as to why it would seem that my previous bids would have met the advertised packages seen on HOTWIRE.
  12. Lots of bidding around till I got this one. Over two day I bid at the following locations from $70 up to $96 and from 3.5* down to 3*: Intl drive South - Sea World Intl. drive Convention Ctr Universal - Intntl Drive North Disney Downtown - Disney Area Disney Maingate Base $291 Taxes and Fess $49.38 Total $340.38 Going BOWLING at the Capital One Bowl!!! Go Gamecocks!!!
  13. Tried $50 for 3.5* "Cary - North" with no luck, then tried $55 and 3* still no luck, finally tried $56 3* with "Arena" zone and got the room. Looks like a very nice hotel for the money. So glad I got some guidance here and again got a great deal with PL!
