  1. The original 8 amenities listed were the only ones visible when searching on Hotwire's site, but the below are the complete set listed in the reservation listing (and also viewable via the easy view tab.) Honestly never used the easy view tab before..... pretty cool! I only wish it also listed the "recommended %" on the front page to quickly help in identifying the better rated hotels. Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness center Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Golf nearby Tennis nearby Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower
  2. York, PA... 2 nights... 2 people... 95% recommended... with the following amenities: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Free parking, Business center, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Pet friendly, Self-service laundry. Holiday Inn Express
  3. I forgot to mention parking. The hotel only offers valet parking at $42 a night. Lots of rules/restrictions on street parking and the Cherry Blossom Festival was in full swing, so we decided to park in one of the open lots down I (eye) street at either 3rd or 4th street. Both lots are open, so no real security or staff on site 24/7, but definitely an easy way to legally "street" park in DC. The lot on 4th street was $18 a day and 3rd street $12. there's only 200 feet between the 2 lots and walking time to the hotel is about 7 minutes.
  4. Booked a 3 star hotel in the Convention Center area of DC for 1 night (2 adults) for $101 that had a 95% approval rating and the following amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant Fitness Center Pool Business Center Turned out to be the Hampton Inn just north of 6th and I street and I must say it is every bit worth the 95% approval rating. Ended up with a king bed, free internet and the free breakfast. Did some checking and the hotwire rate was $60 cheaper than the best "company" discounted rate I could pull directly off their site. Excellent hotel and very happy with the results! A few things learned, ask for a room on the back side of the hotel as 6th street is pretty busy and seems to be the main route for emergency services (read... sirens.) Even on the 7th floor, you can hear everything pretty clear. Breakfast was typical 3 star fare (scrambled eggs, potatoes, ham, cereals, muffins/breads, juices, etc..) and very good. Only downside was that it gets really busy and the eating area is crowded, but the staff kept it fully stocked and we just opted to take ours to go and enjoyed it in the room. The hotel is a block (less than 5 min walk) to Chinatown and all kinds of dinner choices.
  5. Booked 3 rooms at a 3.5 star room in Baltimore (Downtown/Inner Harbor) for $74.00 a night with the following amenities: Suite, Free Breakfast, Pet Friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry and Internet Access It ended up being the Embassy Suites and I was very happy with our stay. Had rooms on the 29th and 37th floor with city views (looking away from harbor) and all were very spacious and clean, but you could tell they were a bit "dated" in regards to furniture and fixtures. Having bought via a 3rd party, no free internet was offered, but the free social/happy hour(s) at night with soda/beer/wine/well drinks and light snacks (cheese/chips/fresh fruit) was a pretty nice bonus. Add in the awesome breakfast buffet (eggs/omelets to order and everything else you could want) and this trip ended up being one of our best Hotwire deals to date! Thanks for the info your site provides!!
  6. The winning hotel was The Liaison! Very happy with what I ended up with and after checking the web, got the room for about $100 less than current rates. Looking forward to my trip next week! Not sure if it'll help narrow down the guess for future bidders, but the amenity for internet only listed "Internet Access" not "Hi-speed". Thanks for the great site and info!
  7. Thanks for the reply. I checked out the Westin on Trip Advisor and the reviews were hit and miss, so decided to do a little more searching. Saw a few 4*'s in the Capitol Hill area and using the Hotel List tried to narrow it down to a few possibilities, each which had a better overall Trip Advisor rating and actually put me closer to my destination than the Westin would have put me. Ended up going for it and picked the 4* in the Capitol Hill area (for the same dates and # of guests as my original search) that was listed for $112 (standard cost $249). It is 90% recommended and had amenities listed as: Fitness center, Business center and internet access. It also listed "Accessibilities" such as blind, bathroom, in-room and path of travel. Want to make a guess which hotel it was before I post it? :-)
  8. Hi! Looking for help in identifying which DC area hotel this might be. My search criteria is 1 night (check-in Oct 31st, 2013 - check-out Nov 1st) for 2 adults. There is a 4* hotel in the White House - Downtown area offered at $100 a night (standard price listed is $299) that only has the following 6 amenities listed: Pet friendly, smoke free, fitness center, restaurant, business center and internet. It has an 85% hotwire recommendation rating, with 750+ reviews. Trip Advisor rating is 3.5 out of 5. I checked the hotel listing, but see no 4* pet friendly hotels in the White House zone. Appreciate any help you can provide and I've been checking hotwire via your links. Thanks!
