Using the PRICELINE Link repeatedly tried to get a 5* in Mayfair/Soho or Kensington/Earls Court/Knightsbridge, starting at $130, going up to $160 over 2 weeks. Figured this zone would be a free rebid at $175, but was shocked to discover a new property, which looks very nice! Perhaps it could be had for less?

Bid $60 3.5*, rejected. Rebid 3* $66 2 rooms. Very happy with this hotel! Restaurant, breakfast room, brand new.

Update: The manager authorized a refund and Priceline has refunded me. The manager was very professional. This property should not be consider 3*, though.

This property is definitely not a 3* - maybe 2 - 2.5*. Kids running around lobby & halls, naked kids in pool, smoky smells, dirty bathroom. I left after 20 minutes. Fighting Priceline & the hotel for a refund. Priceline usually has very strict, conservative standards. I am shocked & very disappointed.
