  1. 2017 next month. Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Boutique hotelBusiness centerFitness centerPet friendlyPool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms
  2. HOTWIRE shows 4.5 star St Petersburg Beach Fl 4/3-4/5 $203 per night. Botique Hotel, free internet, pet friendly. Is this The Don Cesar?
  3. Just got the Edgewater, A Noble House, 4 star, downtown Seattle on the waterfront for a post cruise night, $85. They do have a $16 resort fee.
  4. Got Palazzo for $115 per night. Started at $90 and kept increasing by $5 a bid. Used the PRICELINE link here. Any one with any experience using the $20 complementary upgrade at the Palazzo?
  5. Just a FYI. The pool area at the GN is closed for renovation and will remain closed until sometime in July. We were looking for 2 nights downtown in June and I discovered this by talking directly with GN. So if the pool is important to you look elsewhere.
  6. For things to do Hoover Dam is a easy trip and interesting. Drive out to Red Rock Canyon, about 10 miles out on Charleston, beautiful. Zion National Park is about a 4 hour drive but you would want to stay over at least 1 night. Laughlin is 90 minutes and like old Las Vegas, during the week you can get a decent room for around $15 and suites go for about $50 but Sunday thru Thursday only. Weekends at least double that. Grand Canyon is about a 6-7 hour drive. Lots of great dining in Vegas but not cheap anymore. Also Primm is not a far drive and has a big outlet mall area.
  7. As far as the quality of rooms The Golden Nugget used to be the best place in Vegas to stay. In my opinion only Wynn, Belagio, Mandalay Bay and the Venetian are better. GN is on par with MGM, RIO and the Mirage. The Horseshoe is on par with a Medium Holiday Inn. I think you can get a Poker room rate for the Mirage of around $80. You need to play 6 hours a day for that. Call Mirage ask for Poker room and ask what the rate for Poker players is. Driving is not too bad if you stay off the Strip and use the roads that parallel the strip as you can get to most of the parking garages from the back. Try to stay off Flamingo and center strip as it can be bad. Poker is good at the Horseshoe and OK at GN. Lots of loose players at Horseshoe esp. 4-8. I made $75 per hour at Horseshoe over two days 6 hours each day. Was pretty loose at Wynn 4-8 too. I have mostly been able to get a compact car for around $25 per day on priceline or direct with Dollar but I normally get a week rate.
  8. Going to Vegas June 18-20. Hotwire has a 5* North strip that I assume is the Venetian @ $185.00 per night. Is this a good deal? Seems good to me. Also are there any other 5* Vegas strip resorts that come up with Priceline or Hotwire?
  9. Got it on the first bid. Thanks for the hint on parking.
  10. Got the Renaissance for $50.00 on priceline. Thanks.
  11. Not much information on the falls area. I was wondering if any one had any idea on this Hotel from Hotwire. 4 1/2 stars. Amenities include pool, restaurant, fittness center and business center. $88 per night for 1/21 & 22 2005. Seem like a good price to me.
  12. Just booked on Hotwire. Hyatt 4 star downtown. Friday night 4/2. $55.00 plus tax/fee for a total of $70. Parking extra.
  13. This is a very nice Hotel. Very convenient to the airport. Right across the street.
  14. Hotwire lists the following: 4.5* with restaurants, golf, tennis, pool, fitness center, airport shuttle & business center for $88. 4* with restaurant, pool, fitness center & business center for $78. 3.5* customer favorite with pool, spa, fitness center, business center & restaurant for $55. All are downtown and for November 7-9. Any ideas what they may be? I think the 3.5* may be the Sheraton Center but don't know about the others.
  15. $40.00 for the Holiday Inn Lakeside November 25.
  16. Thanks. I have been using PL & HW for the last couple of years and have had good luck with them and was very pleased to find this site for some extra help in making decisions. Do you think the Buckeyes will get past BG today? :)
  17. Just Booked the Seattle Airport Wyndham, a 3.5* for $55.00 plus tax & fees for a total of $68.95. Amenities include resturant, pool, fitness center and airport shuttle. Looks like a nice place and the rate quoted at the Hotel was $124.00.
