Hello! This is my first post here. Let me share my experience. I was originally looking for 2* in Bridgeport, WV. Bid $45, $50, $55 - unsuccessfully (added Fairmont then Weston). Got frustrated, went to HOTWIRE and they had a 2* in Fairmont for $52. What't going on? After some research I identified this hotel a Super 8 Fairmont. It turned out that it's rated as only 1* at PRICELINE and they have an "express deal" on it for $44. Well, why don't I try bidding less for that? It's the only one 1* hotel there. Tried $36 - they countered it at $43. Now I started another session adding Weston (no hotels there), bid $40 and won! Total $52.33, these taxes and fees are more than 30%! Still good, since on hotel's site $89+12%tax.
