  1. Looking at express deals in midtown atlanta for 4/6 - 4/7 its showing a 4*. Ykur guide says the only 4* express deal in that zone is they Hyatt midtown. BUT Priceline shows pets are allowed. Hyatt doesn't allow pets. But your 3.5* crown plaza does. Could they have up-starred the crown plaza? Thanks!
  2. Here for business this time each year. Wanted one of the 5 central zones. Started at $105. up in $5 increments. Hit once i added my first or second free rebid zone. I usually get the fairmont but this will do and is $30ish per night cheaper than I'm used to. Amenities in my confirm email: Free Internet (in Public Area) Indoor Pool Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Handicap Accessible Business Center
  3. Price.line and HOTWIRE had 4* for $80 downtown listed. Was pretty sure it was Westin or Hilton. Started at $50 and hit just below the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals.
  4. Needed a Hotel for a conference. Started at $65, increased in $5 increments till i hit $90. $100 was my max. The Marriott Wardman Park was my next alternative
  5. I ended up not needing the hotel after all. Thank you for your help
  6. I ended up splitting my longer trip into two. The cheaper days were vacations days with my fiancee and I booked a nicer hotel. The days i was alone for a conference were prohibitively expensive so i booked this hotel. Its kind of a dump, but it worked and the vacation hotel Ended up great
  7. Also seeing a 5* Center Strip for $164 with the following amenities Free Parking Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby When you add the $75 F&B credit being offered for direct booking gets you to retail rates for Bellagio. Would that also be your guess? I saw rumblings of cromwell being added. I wouldn't want that, do we know which area that would be in?
  8. dates 9/14-9/16 5* South Strip 5* Used bidding helper South Strip Boutique Hotel showing up with the following amenities: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Business Center, Self service laundry, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Shows as $242 through bidder and $262 when linked to hotwire I'm stumped
  9. Dates 9/14-9/16 priceline express Vegas Strip South Two 5* hotels showing for those dates. I can tell one is Vdara or Aria by the name of the room upgrades available and the fact that it's not showing the casino amenity leads me to thinkg its Vdara. The other one, which fluctuated in price btw $101-102/night has the following amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Restaurant Free Parking Airport Shuttle Business Center What would be your best guess? Is there any way to resonably distinguish between Aria and Cosmopolitan? Thanks
  10. This is a screencap of the BiddingHelper.com's amenities list for the three hotels i'm considering. Here's a link just in case that doesn't work <link removed> My guess for the first one ($141) is the Epic I'm struggling with the second one ($150). The resort" tag is throwing me off The 3rd one is almost certainly the Viceroy right? Although Viceroy doesn't show tennis as an amenity. Can you suggest which you think you think would be most likely for each? Thank you
  11. see previous priceline post. These were very expensive days in the whole city. Just needed something close to the metro to get in to DC proper for a work conference. Started at $90. I was almost certain it would be in this zone, but added DC proper zones (downtowns, georgetown, dupont, capitol hill-conv) until this was hit
  12. Going to DC for vacation/business from 5/9-5/14. Rates jump up severely on 5/12 (when my conference starts). I think it jumps because of college graduations starting on Monday. and rates over this whole trip were very high in any DC or Crystal city hotels. I saved quite a bit by splitting in to two stays. A nicer hotel for the vacation portion and a more practical one for the conference. I saw priceline and hotwire 4* deals were lowest in this zone, $84, and went up to about $125 Downtown. I started at $65 and increased in $5 increments until i hit this. Would have stopped at $79 because of 5% off coupon on express deals brings (what is likely the same hotel) down to that price.
  13. Thanks. That hotel is too far from a Metro stop for my liking and I have a good amount of time before I NEED to book a hotel so i will probably wait. Prices are really high for my travel weekend right now. I saw a 4.5* in Dupont Circle on hotwire for $88 last week. My plans weren't 100% set yet, but i should have booked it anyways.
  14. Using the BiddingHelper.com, Room rate is $109/night amenities include: FULL AMENITIES: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower thank you
  15. Hello, I'm looking to visit Washington DC from 4/9 - 4/14. I ideally want to stay IN DC, but because of the prices that weekend may have to settle for Crystal City. I'm seeing a 4* (and 4.5*) hotel in Crystal city on hotwire for that time line and I don't see any possible 4*'s in Crystal City listed in this site's list (or anywhere else for that matter).. Do you have any idea what this hotel could be? I tried accessing it through the bidding helper, but everytime i try to click through to the actual listing it gives me an error. Here are the details from hotwire Amenities include: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access
  16. Started early, but I know this time of year can get expensive. $120 was my max and caught it on last rebid zone. Tries all south beach/Miami beach/downtown zones at 3.5*, then started adding free rebid zoned in $5 increments ending at $120/night. Probably could have gone lower by waiting, but this is fine
  17. Quick update after the stay Used $20 trick because I wanted a nicer room with a strip view. Was hoping for a Petite suite, but ended up with Strip-view panoramic room which had great view. She also threw in a free bottle of champagne. More importantly. She waived the resort fee. I know they weren't doing this for everyone because guy checking in a few ahead of me booked on priceline and was trying, unsuccessfully, to get out of the resort fee. Just an FYI
  18. Going on business Fist two nights free at Caesars. Looking for something on strip for remainder of trip. Saw some decent HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS deals on 5* North Strip and South Vicinity. I Bid up to $95/night to no avail. Was probably getting close, but i didn't want to spend more. I was ok with trying for the 4.5*s that are nice but set back (i.e. Elara, MGM Signature) but girlfriend is coming along and wasn't inclined. Also don't want to Try 4* South Vicinity because I don't want Tropicana or Planet Hollywood. Then saw express deal for 4* Strip north for $85. Same on HOTWIRE for $70. I assumed it was Mirage because their retail rates were cheaper. But knew it was either that or TI. Started bidding at $53, increased by $3-4 with free rebids. Got counter from PRICELINE at $70 when i bid $59 so i knew i was close. Next bid of $61 sealed it. All in all, I'm happy with a decent hotel and a what seems like a good rate.
  19. Did you end up bidding on the long haul? I'm flying to LHR in early June and flights are also in the $1300-$1400 range. Wondering how much pipeline could save me.
