  1. Thanks for the tip, I took a look at google maps with satellite and it doesn't look like a very pleasant walk, like you said. I'm now thinking about the La Quinta Inn and Suites, which seems to be an easier walk. I think I have it on HOTWIRE. Here's what I found: 3* $63 a night, 90% recommended Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness center Business center Internet access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Do you guys agree? That's the La Quinta?
  2. No, just preferred it. I was looking at ML which is only a 10 minute walk away, but according to the hotel list is 3 stars, but hotwire is quoting me 3.5 stars....could the star value have changed?
  3. If I'm looking to get the Wyndham(going for a wedding), any suggestions or is it just not available via priceline express or hotwire for that weekend? Thanks for your help!
  4. Thanks for the reply, I think I see all those and a couple more: Free parking Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower
  5. Hoping someone can help me ID this property....looks like it may be the Wyndham but not an exact match: $54 for 9/4-9/6 Free parking, Free internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry Thanks!
  6. Took your advice and won the Doubletree Fort Lee/George Washington Bridge for $80. Used the PRICELINE link from this site along with help from thereuare. Thanks for the help!
  7. I generally try to stick with the 3 or 3.5* priceline's, I've gotten 1 or 2 dumps with the 2-2.5 stars. Location really isn't important to me as long as I can keep it say 20 minutes or so from Teaneck and in the direction of VA would be even better(usually take I-78 to/from), and then if it can be 15-20 minutes from somehwere to pickup a train or bus into the city(with free parking if possible). Any suggestions on hotwire vs priceline and what regions to select? Thanks!
  8. Thanks for all the info. I had tried PRICELINE, I looked over in the priceline forum but there wasn't anything recent for that area, so not sure how much those are going for. I'll have to take a look into the options you laid out and see what works best. Thanks again
  9. The plan is to drive straight to the event Sunday early afternoon - then check into the hotel after the event - 7 or 8 pm. Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it. We have an event to go to in Teaneck on Sunday(10th) then were thinking of hopping on a bus into NYC on Monday and then driving back to VA Monday evening. Would like to stay under $100 with taxes and of course not stay in a dump.... Thanks again!
