  1. I've used Priceline's name you own price tool dozens of times but I've never encountered this. I'm trying to find a hotel room close to a concert venue in Northern Virginia. The actual hotel at which I'd like to stay is between two established zones. When I go to "name your own price" it gives me a circle around that area (Gainesville, VA) that overlaps one of the other established areas. According to google maps there are only two hotels within the new circular area. When I check this area for the night in question (May 30 check-in) on "name your own price" it gives me the option for a 2.5 or 2.0 star hotel. I'm guessing the 2.5 is Hampton Inn. There is an Extended Stay/Value Place also within the circle that I suspect is the 2 star. I'm kind of surprised because the hotel I'm trying to get (Hampton Inn) has a two night minimum stay and only shows up when I select two nights. I've even called the place to confirm the policy. But then it shows up in it's own zone for a "name your own price" for a single night. I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger because I'm hoping to walk to the concert venue (Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA) and need to stay at the Hampton Inn if I want to make this work. Am I reading this situation correctly? Could the 2.5 be anything other than the Hampton Inn in Gainesville? Your help is deeply appreciated. Sincerely, -Will
  2. It was the Marriott Inner Harbor. Thanks so much for your help. I had to log back in to select this. I hope it didn't disrupt your link. If so let me know so I don't make the same mistake next time. Thanks again. -Will
  3. Yes, I still have the $86 express deal available. Based on the description above, do you have an idea which hotel it is? Sheraton Center City is the only of the three I don't want; based on location. Am I safe to assume that they wouldn't offer a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal with a guest rating of 8.0 and then provide one with a guest rating of 7.0? If you can confirm this, I'm ready to use your PRICELINE link to pull the trigger. Thanks. -Will
  4. I'm looking for a room near Camden Yards/Inner Harbor for Thursday, June 27. I've exceeded the other recent winning bids listed for 4* Baltimore properties... I'm up to $85. I'm wondering why I'm not having luck or any offers back from priceline. Could it be that prices jump sometime between mid-June and late-June? I'd be willing to move down to 3 or 3.5 stars but some of those locations are pretty far from the stadium so I'd be rolling the dice with 'Name your own price.' There was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 3.5* for $86 that has a guest rating of 8.0 with only a restaurant and business center icon displayed. There are only three 3.5* hotels in Inner Harbor for this date: Sheraton Baltimore City Center (pool, guest rating 7.0), Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor (guest rating 8.7) and Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel (pool, guest rating 8.0). Since the Express Deal mystery hotel doesn't have a pool icon, does that mean that the hotel in question would be the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor? Also, because the express deal lists the guest rating at 8.0, does that guarantee that this is not for the Sheraton City Center which has a lower guest rating? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Will
