  1. Searching for January 28 - 30. Found a 2* hotel in Civic Center South with the following amenities: Free Internet & Free Parking. 85% recommended. Of course, search started through BB PRICELINE links :) I don't see anything on the boards that fits, although looks like someone came across this same listing in November (no property reported). Any thoughts on what property this might be? Perhaps the Civic Center Motor Inn with a reduced amenities list? Free parking is pretty rare around those parts. Thanks!
  2. Confirming the amenities list above is complete. Additional accessibility features: Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower
  3. Very satisfied for the price. Looks like this confirmed someone's thought below that the Club Quarters got upgraded from 3.5 to 4 stars. Booked through the HOTWIRE links above. Amenities: Free Internet Boutique hotel Business center Fitness center Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired
  4. Bid 75 for FD. Rejected. Bid 80 for FD, USE. Rejected Bid 85 for FD, USW, USE. Rejected. Added rebid zone. Bid 90. Was offered a hotel if I upped price to 104. Added rebid zone. Bid 92. Accepted - Le Meridien San Francisco, 4-star, Financial District/Embarcadero A hotel with similar amenities was showing up for $100-104 on Hotwire and Priceline Express Deals. I knew it was the Hilton, Hyatt or Le Meridien, and thought I'd try to get it cheaper bidding. Saved $35 over the express deal total, and was hoping for the Le Meridien anyway b/c of great reviews. Used better bidding PRICELINE links to search and purchase.
  5. Yup, that's the full list. I was just too lazy to write them out, since you can't copy and paste from the pop-up. Oops. Just booked (through the HOTWIRE link on this site); it was the Z hotel. Just to confirm the amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible They are "still gathering reviews for this property," so there was no approval rating listed. Let me know if it's better to start a new thread with this info. Hope you can add this hotel to your hotwire lists!
  6. Can you help ID this 4* Long Island City hotel? Prices have been fluctuating all morning, but it's at $119 right now (used this site's HOTWIRE link to search). Amenities: Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility I think it may be the Z, as the Ravel is the only other 4* in the neighborhood, and I haven't found any cases of them offering free breakfast. However, this site's hotwire list doesn't include any 4* hotels for that area. Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks for the advice :). I actually used to live in the East Bay, and frequently visited a friend that lived in an apartment building a few blocks away from the Cova. While I wouldn't walk around many streets around there at night by myself, I've actually found it to be a unique and interesting neighborhood - with some of the best Indian and Vietnamese food in the city (although I never did find Bahn Mi that measured up to South Bay standards). I'd much rather stay in the Tenderloin than much of Oakland, Richmond, or even the Western Addition. I would've included Civic Center West in my original search, but I had a less-than-stellar service experience there once at the Hilton Union Square, and would rather avoid that particular hotel. Appreciate the well-meant advice, though :). I know many people in the city who would avoid that area at all costs.
  8. Booked the 3* Hotel Cova in Union Square East for $95/night. It's not in a great location (I'm very familiar with the area), but it has a free shuttle to Union Square/the Wharf. Will keep trying Priceline/Hotwire to see if prices go down. Thanks!
  9. Purchased Best Western Plus Sonoma Valley Inn for $70/night through HOTWIRE for 12/14-12/18. Used BB links. Thanks to this board, I was pretty sure this was the exact hotel before booking, as it's the only 3* in the area that has been booked through PRICELINE. Thanks! 95% Hotwire Recommended Rating Amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Now to find a similar deal for the 5 days before that in San Francisco...
  10. Thanks! Used the PRICELINE links provided. I decided to go up to $125, but no luck yet, but I'll keep trying.
  11. Thanks for the feedback! Messages read :). My desired budget would be sub $120/night; the lower, the better. If we can't get a four-star for less than that, we may just pay full price for a 2-star in a desired area. Location is more important to us than comfort for this trip, and budget reigns above all else. No point in going to San Francisco if you're too broke to enjoy fresh oysters and great wine :).
  12. Hi all, Went to San Francisco two years ago and got the Hilton on O'Farrell for $85/night, incl. taxes. Was wondering if anything like that price would be even remotely possible for 12/9 - 12/14? So far, not even close. Bidding history: 4-star Financial District $80 - $110 (using rebid zones): not accepted 4-star Union East $80-$110 (using rebid zones): not accepted Any idea whether a sub-$120 price might be possible closer to our travel dates? Looks like there's a 4-star on Hotwire for $140 in Union Square East. Every time I book on Hotwire more than a month out, it seems that prices drop later... Thanks in advance for any advice!
