  1. Have been searching HW and PLE, ended up going w/ this rather than waiting for any other deal. 4* NYC Times Square North, $218/night base. 8+ on the reviews. Amenities: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services, Children's activities. Based on that we guessed right, that it was the Sheraton. Used the HOTWIRE link with the extra $20 off... happy getting this location and that the room and rate did not go up w/ the guaranteed 2 beds. Thanks.
  2. Same. I see it, I click thru - sometimes I see those bed choices other times it's the 'no longer there' bait and switch. It's for 2 people. I'm looking for a choice of beds to get 2 beds if possible, so I know bidding isn't an option. We'd like that midtown tourist center area, a well reviewed hotel - say 8+ by bidders. I've got time b/c from what I see there's availability so I will keep watching and waiting. FYI I'm searching both the Hotwire and PLE links, looking for best deal as the dates get closer. thanks.
  3. Done and done. sorry for the late replies/updates, I was locked out and just got back in w/ an email and password reset. The deal is back for the moment, same as above. 5/3-5/6 4* 8/10 NYC Times Square. Here's what it shows as bed choices: 1 King Bed - Wifi$208/night 2 Double Beds - Wifi$221/night 1 King Bed - Accessible Room$234/night 1 King Bed - City View - Wifi$235/night 1 King Bed - Accessible Room With City View$249/night 2 Double Beds - City View - Wifi$249/night 1 King Bed - River View - Wifi$271/night 1 King Bed - Accessible Room With River View$271/night 2 Double Beds - River View - Wifi$292/night Thanks.
  4. Had been looking and waiting a while. Saw this pop up as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at $78/night with amenities that matched, so tried - and won - a slightly lower bid. Very happy with the 3.5* Marriott NOLA FQ. Apologies for the late post, thought I'd shared this w/ the board already.
  5. sorry, again went another way and don't see a link to mark thread as closed. thx. also I am adding that win to the boards, though I think I remember doing it. IDK maybe my browser ate it.
  6. Not sure how to close this, ended up doing something else. Thanks.
  7. Trying to figure out which hotel this is. 4* hotel NYC Times Square Zone, PLE. 8/10 guest reviews. Dates are 5/3-5/6. It shows $208 and then the deal goes away. Then days later, the deal comes back. Sometimes is shows bed choices, w/ views King or 2 doubles w/ Wifi, or beds + River View. Only amenities are Internet, pets, business center. Curious in case it comes back. Thanks.
  8. Just returned from New Orleans, getting a bid accepted at the Marriott FQ on Canal which PL considers 3.5*. trying for one night 3/3/17 for 2 rooms, and I see that same hotel as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal (it hints I've booked it before). My questing is that I'm seeing another 3.5* hotel also in the FQ Canal zone and cannot figure out which one it is. Any help appreciated. Thanks. 1 night. 2 rooms. Price showing $234. Reviews 7+ - these are the amenities: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Room choice 1 or 2 beds, assigned at check in.
  9. Pets Allowed Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Reviews 7+ by guests. Did the research, knew this would be the win - we're usually at the HIE LBV East, thought we'd save a little $ and try this one for just 1 night.
  10. Did a few more searches and though maybe the Comfort Inn or that Extended Stay which I want to avoid per some of the reviews depending on which one it is. I saw the updated hotel list, want to be sure which one it is --- Do you think it's the ES Vinings on Cumberland Parkway, or the ES Smyrna on Sports Avenue??? re: zones. On Hotwire it's the Smyrna/Vinings; think Priceline may have a Galleria/Cumberland zone for regular searching, not Express or bidding. Thanks!
  11. Monday-Thursday 4 nights. Sept. 9/28-10/2 Smyrna Vinings. PRICELINE EXPRESS 2* for $43/night. 7+ guest review. One Queen bed Pets Allowed Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool Almost identical list shows on Hot.wire as a 2.5*, same dates, 75% reviews. Cumberland area. Free Internet Free breakfast Free parking Fitness center Pet friendly Pool(s) Self-service laundry Cannot ID this from hotel lists; can't tell if it's a name change on property or what. From the looks it's the same hotel. Thanks in advance.
  12. I ran both HW and PLE searches and this was the best deal I saw for the one night, two rooms. 3* Guest Fave, w/ ratings of 8+ on Priceline Express, said 50% off which is about right. The I-Drive CC zone. Free breakfast, parking, internet. Other amenities listed a fitness center, business center, pool. Based upon the searches and what's listed as wins, thought it might be the Hyatt Place. Turned out to be the Springhill Suites which is listed under bid wins, so it's now also a PRICELINE EXPRESS win too. Very pleased. Used the links. Thanks.
  13. only there one night so we just parked at the hotel; it's a small garage though, tough for large vehicles. We were fine w/ the hotel. clean, beds very comfy. yes some rooms didn't have a good window and there was that old, musty smell (zapped after a few minutes of a/c). I wouldn't pay normal rates but would be fine getting this place again for a bargain bid.
  14. Won this after dropping to the 3* category (current web searches range from $110-149/night for same property). Could have sworn I was up to $75 the other night, including this DT zone. Place gets mixed reviews but vs. paying occupancy charges, 4 ppl in a room elsewhere (best deals we were seeing were $200+). This place is only a block or so off Canal, FQ so I am happy with this win all things considered. Looking forward to the trip, thanks. And yes, I bid thru the PRICELINE links. :-)
  15. I went up to $80 each on the two rooms, $194 total for a 4* bid for either FQ or DT. I plan on dropping to 3.5* tonight, same max. I'd already tried dropping to 3* max bid was $75 per room (limited to FQ). Sorry for the confusion; my max for each room is an $80 bid; later I'll drop to 3.5* star and see if it gets accepted. It's a matter of weighing that (bid 2 rooms) vs. accepting the one room on a blind deal. (then hoping that one room holds 4; meaning I'm probably going to 'overpay' on HW, to make sure I can opt for 4 adults). It's just, these offers seem rather high for the star categories (esp. 3*) and 80% favorable, all things considered. If I don't get the bid accept tonight, I will repost when ready to go ahead w/ PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE offer. Thanks.
  16. Then there's this one. Same date, May 8th, also w/ bed choice of 2 beds. $118 3 Star Guest Score: Rated 8.0out of 10 (or higher )guest favorite Guaranteed Amenities: Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Fitness Center My guess is the Wyndham but don't know about the breakfast. Hotwire has a similar deal (entering 4 ppl in a room, so guessing 2 beds) for $153; 3* w/ free breakfast, internet, pet friendly, biz center, 90% rec in FQ MS River zone... makes me think this one is the Best Western St. Christopher. Again, any advice would be great.
  17. Been researching these, hard to pin down. For some reason, the PL bids seem much much lower than the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. Probably due to the FQ location. 3½ Star. Guest Score: Rated 8.0out of 10 (or higher) guest favorite One night - Thursday May 8th Rate is $147 (supposedly 45% off) Guaranteed Amenities: Free Internet in public areas Outdoor Swimming Pool Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center It gives a bed choice for 2 beds. I'm trying to put 4 ppl in but of course, if this is twins I'm in big trouble. (I'm considering this as a backup and looking to try low bid 2 rooms since they seem much better deals vs. PLE or Hotwire.) My best guess is it's the Doubletree. Thanks.
  18. This was for someone else and they picked the 2.5* one which yes was the HIE LBV East. Ended up only saving 25% vs published rates but that's better than nothing. It was $59/night, total $142.36. Yes the extra 10% deal would have worked elsewhere, saved more on a 3* or higher but they wanted that zone and the free breakfast, bed choice option. (I'd have tried the renovated former Clarion now Comfort Inn given that it was cheaper to begin w/ and PL somehow considers it a 3* place. Maybe next time.) Anyway they're ok w/ the deal that week so all good. Thanks .. and I of course used the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to search/buy.
  19. Can't be.. this one is the in the 'West of Disney' Zone, US HWY 27.. but we decided it's too far out. Thanks anyway, and I'll update/close the thread when we make a decision (hopefully, in time to get the 10%). And of course use the links.ETA: Used link and this one came up. Same dates, my guess is the Comfort Inn Maingate East, or maybe the HIE Maingate East?? 3* Disney Maingate-Celebration. $47. 7 out of 10 rating. Several bed choices available, queens, HBO, etc. Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center
  20. Had same guess for HIE LBV East; thought maybe Hyatt Place or a SpringHill Suite. And agree that the SW hotel is probably a nicer, better property for the money (though the HIE worked out ok for us last time). New place popped up on Hotwire, same dates, $43/night, 85% reviews.. but I can't seem to match it on any list, don't think it's a condo. 3-star Hotel in West of Disney. This Hotel features the following amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  21. Looking for help ID 2 different PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for Orlando. Thanks Dates 11/24-11/26: 2.5 Star. Downtown Disney/LBV. $59. W/ bed choice available. Guest rating 7+ or better. Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center 3 Star. Sea World/CC. $59. Guest fave, 9+ rating. Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center
  22. IIRC the amenities were restaurant, fitness center, business center and pool. Rating 8 or higher, guest favorite. Thx again.
  23. This was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. From all the amenities and posts on the boards, I thought this would be the 4* Intercontinental and was thrilled to see I was right. Great location, hotel for a pre-cruise stay. With fees came to $110; nice savings. Used the BB PRICELINE link.
  24. You were right, this turned out to be the Holiday Inn Express East - as in Kissimmee East. Somehow in my research I confused myself on the hotel location - thinking this was the one on Palm Parkway. Not it's the one on Polynesian. Fine win, saved 41% and paid $112.34 for two nights. I'm happy with that considering it's free breakfast and parking. But still have to give a little nudge to Priceline; don't care how they draw their zones, this place IMO does not belong in DTD/LBV - it's Kissimmee. Used the BB PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links; thanks so much for all the help!! :-)
  25. Yes, I'm sorry. The HOTWIRE deal did mention the roll in shower. Just trying to research, debating this 3* vs a 2 or 2.5* (per HW the 2* is more popular yet also more $, guessing it's the Extended Stay.) And yes I will totally use the BB links for searches, booking and post what I end up winning. Thanks so much.
