Congrats to those who got in. I hope PL honors your rates. Looks like it didn't pick up the steam that the LaQuinta deal did, so hopefully you'll be OK.

How did you get this rate? When I search for Caesars Palace, PL tells me there are no hotels available for the hotel name I selected.

I think it sucks that these guys are giving you such a hard time. For all the b!tching here about TOBB, I would think you'd get more sympathy here. Maybe it's not that different. I also think what happened to you with the insurance sucks. I would fight it. You're exactly right -- if it doesn't cover weather or mechanical failure, what else can there be? If it's not too late, dispute the charges through the credit card company, write formal letters to PL and HW and the insurance company, copy the BBB and perhaps the FTC or AGs office. I suspect you're out quite a bit of money, given that this was a family trip to Hawaii. You bought insurance, so I don't see how they could think you're trying to scam them or get something for nothing. Keep fighting it and good luck!

The average rate is $105. I'll take the Trop over Circus Circus or Excalibur and I don't want to split my stay. Priceline probably won't work this time - such a busy weekend there - and it looks like rates keep climbing. I'll stick with the Trop, I guess. Thanks.

Trop rate ranges from $65-$125 over the 4 nights. I prefer the Strip, but I'm not really sure what I'd be willing to pay for it. Apparently not a lot, since I booked the Trop. :) $150?

Hi. I'm a newbie, but have used PL before. I'm seeking advice for a Strip hotel for Super Bowl weekend (Thurs. Feb 2-Mon. Feb. 6). I currently have a reservation at the Tropicana, but wonder if I have a shot with PL for a nicer property. Knowing Super Bowl weekend has high rates and high occupancies, I don't know if I even have a chance. Any thoughts? Thanks.
