For the days 11/11/07 to 11/14/07 I see a 3 Star Hotel available in San Diego for $190 per night. It has amenities of Boutique and Resturant. Tripadvisor rating of 2.5. Any suggestions for this? Thanks.

Maybe in November the pool is not available hence its omission from the above list?

This past week I've been trying to book a room in Downtown Chicago, preferably in/near the Loop. I have been rejected at 4* at $90, $100 (Loop) I have been rejected at 3* at $70, $80, $90 (Loop) (attempted over 3 days) I have been rejected at 3* at $104 (Loop and NMA) I am surprised that I have been unable to get a 3* at that price. I think I should book something that is cancelable and wait a bit longer to see if Priceline can do better. What do people think? My ideal price for a 4* is $120 and a 3* is $90, but would much prefer a "cheap" 3*.

Started at $70 in Westminster. Offered a free rebid if I increased my bid by $20. Instead, added Soho and Mayfare and re-bid $74 for this hotel in Westminster (my first choice for a location). Total cost for 2 nights and taxes is $190.

I've just got back from my vacation which involved this stay. On my new credit card statement I noticed a charge from the hotel of $43. I don't know what this is for since I pre-paid on Priceline and on checkout the receptionist said all was OK. I'll write/FAX and ask them what the charge is for. Just a warning for others who may stay here.

I don't think it is a new hotel. I've called it downtown but it's really in the convention centre area.

OK, it's in "Millennium Park, Loop and Grant". First bid was the winning bid - as mentioned in the post.

Only wanted to stay in USE or USW. Bid $65, $68 and won Hilton, USW, with $71 (I choose the small increments since I was sure I'd get something close to this bid amount).

Started with a 4* in Downtown and bid $60 and $65. Then switched to a 3* and bid $39 and straight away got another Holiday Inn - but a better bargain than my Seattle attempt.
