  1. Thanks for info. So I guess West Coast was actually paying $89 + $50 = $139/day then. The title kinda blew me away at first. I haven't decided if Vegas will be my next vacation but i am leaning that way. I will make a new thread with all costs included if i do make a bid and get an offer. Thanks.
  2. Is this the Wynn Encore hotel? Also, is the resort fee already included in price? Is resort fee per day or part of total stay? Thanks.
  3. can you list the charges for certain amenities if there are any? free wifi in the rooms? did they charge for parking per night?
  4. Why didn't you just wait 2 days before you are leaving to do the bidding? I think you would've gotten it decently under $100/night.
  5. Btw, i got rejected at $68, so i went up to $70 and it was accepted eventhough priceline wanted me to bid at $75.
  6. Once you bid on a zone and do a rebid, it will keep that zone, you can't uncheck it, but you can add other zones. So you should've not have checked harbor island/downtown and instead only checked gaslamp zone...then do a rebid by adding zones that don't have 4 star hotels. There is the free hotel Sheraton shuttle that will take you to the airport where you can catch the bus #992 to downtown OR you can walk to the bus stop near the hotel to catch the #923 bus into downtown. The hotel is like a 5-7 minute ride to downtown. I got this info from travelers on a travel forum.
  7. i think you can get it for $70-80/night during that time frame...just start bidding two days before you leave...probably will get better deals. i would stick to the gaslamp quarter zone if you want to be safe since i used the downtown/harbor island zone hoping to get a downtown hotel(gaslamp), but ended up winning a bid at the Sheraton Marina hotel which i didn't really want since it was a bit further out....lesson learned i guess.
  8. i selected the downtown and harbor island zone though i should've selected the gaslamp district zone. not bad though. wifi internet is free in the lobby, but costs $11.95/night in the room and parking is like $23/day, no free breakfast. i got the marina tower(nicer rooms) of this hotel.
  9. if you win a bid in priceline, does the total including parking or internet charges? i didn't see it ...or do they add that later when you arrive at the hotel? i checked some reviews of the hotel and people were complaining about parking charges being excessive and only free internet when you go to the lobby, but internet for hotel rooms cost $. thanks. p.s: if i don't have a car, will they still charge for parking?
  10. It is not letting me uncheck the hotel * rating that i had on a previous bid for my rebid..oh well.
  11. so i guess a single person can take the risk of waiting the night before the flight to book his/her hotel to get the better rates than booking a few weeks in advance? i was thinking about booking my hotel at the airport once i arrive..also, since i am by myself so i guess i shouldn't be worried about double beds or big size ones from all the posts about issues with beds in this thread. my only concern is that i might get a smoking room which i dont want since i dont smoke and dont want to smell the fumes from previous guests. also, if the hotel doesn't accomodate you if there are problems, you can also mention it on reviews online...no need to be rude, just let people know how they treated you with the reviews online.
  12. Is it possible for me to book a hotel room for my parents or do i need to register a separate account on priceline for them and bid under their account? I'm hoping i can just book it for them under my account but was concerned about when they arrive at the hotel as far as their names... Thanks.
  13. Saw your post about bid and rebid in the FAQ part...will give it a shot...keeping my fingers crossed!
  14. I just saw the FAQ about how to rebid...tricks/tips that some of the posters including yourself posted...love the visual explanation too! I will give it a shot...keeping my fingers crossed.
  15. How much is it normally per night? I just signed up here and still trying to learn how to do a bidding. I had booked at the Travelodge by The Bay a few days ago. I might need to cancel it so i can try bidding here. I just found out about this site an hour ago. I prefer the Fisherman Wharf area. Thanks.
