  1. Long time no see! :-) Any ID help on this property? I used, as always, the BetterBidding search tool. Your tool IDs it as Virgin, but the review count is off by 500 or so. I can't find a more likely hotel. Any ideas?
  2. Bid $100, denied. Bid $105, won Westin Sacramento. I have a pretty good confidence that the Priceline Express price for the same hotel was $112/nt ($267.68 overall). I got it for $105/nt ($252.76), a savings of $15. Hotwire's price for a 4* in the same zone (probably a different hotel) was $312 overall. Website best rate is $183/nt ($365.08), a savings of 27% and $113. Next month will be 11 years on betterbidding. I've known thereuare longer than I've know my wife!
  3. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Botique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired 417 + 117.17 tax = $534.17, Direct book price $755, savings of $221 or 29%. Not bad.
  4. Pre-cruise stay in Miami. Had a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on a 5* lined up for $241/night - thought I would see if I could do better with NYOP. Selected all the 5* zones (Downtown and a couple in Miami Beach) and offered $200 as a starting bid. I hate it when this happens, but, opening bid accepted. Bid again a moment later on a separate room for one night only, 3/26-27, same price. Won the same hotel. Priceline total, $504 JW best web total, $833 Savings of 39.5% Best I've done this year, maybe in two years. Sorry I haven't been around much but I've been (gasp) direct booking because the economy is back and the NYOP deals have been nonexistant.
  5. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. Total $107.45 Direct book cost would have been $134 ($157), Saved $50. I believe this is a new hotel for this zone.
  6. Didn't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE and booked a suite at MGM Signature. Thank you!
  7. Hi, 4*, North Strip, $91, 4/12-4/15, PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal: Free Internet Free Parking Swimming Pool Fitness Center Restaurant Casino Assuming this is SLS/Sahara. Agree?
  8. Bid $70 PL countered with $101 Bid in $5 increments to $90 Accepted at $90 Hotwire had the same hotel for $101 ($245.72) Direct book rate $132. Saved 29%
  9. Bid $60... first bid accepted. Damn! Hate it when that happens. Direct book rate 157.62. Savings of 53%.
  10. Bid $70, turned down. Bid $75, win! Paid $410.24, direct book rate was 667.88, saved 38%. First time I have used NYOP Priceline in quite a while... Both Hotwire and PRICELINE EXPRESS have been more attractive lately. Used your Priceline link to begin my bid.
  11. Don't recall. They're not listed in the itinerary e-mail and I can't even see the trip under "My Trips" on Priceline when I'm logged in. (I do see the NYOP listings.) Is the only way to report these by copying and pasting before you buy?
  12. Booked the day before my arrival during SEMA ... rates were terrible anywhere in Vegas, with this one minor exception. Decent rate at an older hotel with tremendous convention center accessibility. $20 on check-in gets me moved from an old crappy room to a freshly remodeled room. Twenty bucks well spent.

  16. Bid Price.line up to this pricepoint and couldn't win. Booked this off Hot.wire. 25% off rack rate. Not bad.
  17. Last failed bid $120, then bid $138 (same rate as the Express Price), won. Paid $478, website rate $557, saved 14%. Remember the good old days when the economy was in the shitter and you could get a 4* hotel offseason in a resort town for 60% off?
  18. Direct book rate is $119, a savings of 39%. Amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Fitness Center Business Center Self service laundry Internet access
  19. Bid In $10 increments from $80 up to $190... finally accepted. Philly is really expensive this week. Not sure why. Direct book rate $249, a savings of 22%. As always, thanks for the support. The new customizations to IP Board are really cool.
  20. Bid it to $300. No luck. Will book alternate arrangements. City is really slammed this weekend. Color me disappointed.
  21. This one isn't on the list. Speculation as to what it could be, and what sort of price it might take to get there? It might be Four Seasons, but Four Seasons shows booked solid on 5/16, and Price.line NYOP is offering me a 5* in that zone on 5/16.
  22. Bid $70 PL countered with $93 Bid $80, failed. Bid $85, won Hyatt Regency Chicago. Direct book rate is $179. Saved 49%.
  23. Bid 55, declined, bid 65, won. Total, $80.87. Lowest direct book rate is $123.14, savings of 44%. I have won nicer places in my life, but for one night, I can probably handle the HI. :-) Naturally, used your PRICELINE link.
  24. Probably out of my ballpark for this trip, but a nice dream none the less. Hotwire has a few 5*s in that range, but in my experience HOTWIRE has a lower threshold for 5* than PRICELINE does. Will let you know what I end up doing.
