Booked 6 nights @ $49/nite. 7/18 - 7/24/2007. This is the Extended Stay America in Linthicum. Also booked a rental car in the same transaction at $26/day. Compact car at Hertz. Total price for the booking: $548. Pretty good deal.

I am scoping Hotwire for a room in Baltimore 7/18 - 24. BWI is a good location for our needs. A 2* facility ($49/nite) at BWI is listed. Only amenity offered is laundry. This doesn't match the Homestead according to the amenities listed in the Hotwire Hotel thread on this board. Any ideas? Thanks.

Business trip to Mt Kisco. Research here suggested there were some good rates available in Westchester county. SavingsBarn to Priceline. First bid for 2 rooms accepted at 3* for $80.

I was pretty aggressive. I worked my way up from about $75 throu the $80s in $5 dollar increments, changing the areas I was bidding in. i.e. Start priceline search in Boston, then Brookline, then Newton, etc... I had seen history that the Doubletree on Cambridge/Alston border accepted bids at $75. I was hoping to land in this property. All worked out. Rooms were scarce as fall leaf season on Columbus day weekend factored in with the womens' soccer from UNC, field hockey from FSU, and volleyball from Clemson in Sheraton for games against BC.

Made initial bid at $40. Declined. Priceline response offered a free re-bid if increased to $52. Tried to ignore this offer and have my wife rebid at $45 but got caught as a duplicate request. Daughter brought a list a recommended hotels from a college referral, so tried the re-bid at $52. Won room at Courtyard. Total charges - $65.88

I was all over the map on this one. Posting bid history might take hours. Trying to stay near Brookline. Traveling on business. Needing 2 rooms may have been a complicating factor. Not too enthused with the hotel aceepting the bid, but it is a bed.

Was trying to get close to Malibu. Following a college baseball team playing there. Started looking in Thousand Oaks. 3* - $43. Failed Added Camarillo. Bid 3* - $47. Failed Added Ventura. Bid 3*. Won the Marriott.

I have seen some reviews of very unsatisfied customers for this hotel.

Bid 1: 3*, $35, Dublin & OSU area Bid 2: 3*, $40, Dublin, OSU, Easton (1* area) Bid 3: 2.5*, $42, same areas Hotels.com lists best available rate here at $81.50. So - not bad.

Followed advice on this website. Thanks. CI/CO dates 10/3-10/6. 1st bid: 3*, $50, just Indy North. Rejected. 2nd bid: 3*, $60, Indy North & Indy South. Accepted. (no 3* hotels in Indy South) Posted room rates on Hotels.com for this hotel: $165, with excellent reviews. Got a pretty good rate for a rental car, too. :)
