I commute to Tampa bi-weekly. If you're looking for the Embassy Suites Airport, they haven't been on Hot.wire in almost a year. Routinely, however, the Sheraton Suites can be found on Hot.wire in the $50-60 range. I think they're better than the Embassy, but breakfast is not included. Tip: The Sheraton Suites and Doubletree (next door) have their restaurants on Restaurant.com for cheap eats in the hotel. The Embassy Suites Downtown hasn't been on in a while either. Routinely, The Sheraton (3.5*) and The Westin (4*) are. Both Sheratons offer shuttle service within 3 miles for free (tip the driver and he shows up fast). Downtown hotels charge for parking. I like the Westshore area better because of all the dining in the area and the 2 Malls (Westshore & International) Hope this helped. Hal actraveler

Have stayed here 6 times since December. Very good breakfast rotated daily by "Ms. Kim" who is FANTASTIC! Usually not released to Price.Line / Hot.wire until 7 days out. Excellent location for dining in Ybor City and hotel provides a free shuttlle within 3 miles which covers all of Downtown. Have been tracking this for 3 weeks now. I commute to Tampa. Usually the Tampa Westshore Doubletree, Sheraton Suites, and Downtown Hampton Inn greatly discount at the last minute. Sure enough, today being a Monday, the hotels review occupancy for the week. All of a sudden, 3.5* Westshore openned today on Hotwire for $72 and Priceline Express for $66. Decided to go with a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $48, 2.5* Hotel in Tampa Airport-North District based upon 4 things- Free Internet, Parking, Breakfast and that it was likely the Comfort Suites which has more than decent tripadvisor reviews. $48 x 3 nights + tx/fees = $171 Hope it is a nice place. Having researched, I wanted a hotel without a resort fee and preferably with a refrigerator in the room. Location had to be Lake Buena vista. On HOTWIRE, they were offering a 2.5* for $37 which by amenities had to be this hotel. On PRICELINE EXPRESS deals they were offering a 2* for $35. As there was only one reported 2* as the Extended Stay, I decided to try to bid for a lower price. Bid $29, 2*, Lake Buena Vista. Declined with counteroffer of $34. As there were no free re-bid zones on a 2*, I went with the Express Deal with the FALL5 promotion. Total for 3 nights with taxes & fees $121. No resort fee. On the side benefit, hotel offers a free shuttle to/from Disney and the Lynx #50 stops right in front of the hotel which also services Disney. Used PRICELINE link. Very happy with this result.
