I have been getting Express Deals from Priceline and have notice something that has me curious. When enter a destination, check in and check out date and hit "Search Express Deals" you are taken to a different page showing their deals. On this page is a place to click which say show all hotels in "your destination" This appears to give you every hotel that is in the Priceline inventory along with the star rating. Is this accurate or am I missing something?

Guess I was wrong but the Super 8 has some good reviews and you can't beat the price.

I'm lookin to use priceline to bid on 2 rooms for November 30 in Chillicothe, MO and not end up with a Super 8. I appears this town has 2 Super 8s. I go to hotwire and look there and they show both 1* star and 2* and it seems the price changes each time I check it and quite ofter the 1* is more than the 2*? Can anyone shed some light on this and possibly some suggestions on how to avoid the Super 8s.

So I guess my question now would be is how you determine how much you're going to end up paying for a room. You don't know in advance what motel you're getting so you can't do any research and it appear they can just add what they want to the cost of the room. It seems the bidding proess is just a starting price and you don't know the ending price until you get your credit card bill??

We recently booked through Priceline 2 rooms for 3 nights at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Rapid SD as follows: Dates of stay Sep 17-Sep 20, 2012. Offer Price: $ 65.00 Room Subtotal: 390.00 Taxes & Fees 57.06 Total Charged to Card: $ 447.06 Nowhere on the confirmation does it mention a resort fee. When we checked in there was no mention of a resort fee and to our knowledge we did not sign anything accepting this additional charge. We just received our credit card statement and we had two charges to the La Quinta Inn for $23.95 each. We called the La Quinta and they told us this charge was a resort fee of $ 7.95 per night for each room. They said the resort fee would have been quoted to us by Priceline and would have been on our confirmation. Can someone assist us with the steps we should take in order to get these charges cancelled and credited back to our account? Thank you.

Started about a week ago at 40 and been added a couple dollar a day. Last night I had 5 bonus dollars so I bid 50 and the 5 bonus dollars was added. Happy with the motel/price

I tried using bonus cash a week or two ago and I never was able to get my bid accepted. If memory serves me right first I was told that 24 hours hadn't elapsed since my last bid and the next time it told me I had already bid, and I hadn't. I now have $5.00 to use and it's good until tomorrow am. The email with my losing bid last night has a time of 7:33 on it so I should be eligible to bid after that. I want to bid Sioux City, IA for the night of October 2, one room, 2 people. There are two zones that can be bid. I willing to pay $60.00 for a 3 star and $55.00 for a 2.5 star and it really doesn't matter which one I end up with. Will you outline step by step the best way for me to bid this and get the max number of bids. Last night I bid $54.00 for a 3 star and $50.00 for a 2.5 star and didn't win the bid. I sure this has been covered before and if so would you give me a link so I can read it. I'm trying to determine if there any correlation between the rating systems of Hotwire and Priceline or how does each of them arrive at their ratings. An info would be appreciated. tx

It is the Ramada Plaza Riverside. I just booked for $63.00. I had been bidding priceline for a 2.5 star and my last bid was $60.00 and thought I'd try Hotwire as I've never used it.

I travel a lot in the winter and the weather dictates my travel plans. Depending on the weather I sometimes have to change where I will be spending the night to another city. I would like to book all rooms in advance but that's just not practical. Does anyone have experience in bidding early in the morning for rooms needed that night or in the evening for rooms needed the next night, and care to share their experience?
