  1. I wound up going with a different deal, on Priceline instead (using BetterBidding's PRICELINE links).
  2. Using BetterBidding's Bidding Helper and Hotel List, I identified this 3* hotel as the Wyndham New Orleans (French Quarter), and it turned out to be correct. Deal was $99/night. Tried to Priceline bid at $70-$85/night (knowing Wyndham was $99/night) but those kept getting rejected. Went with the Express Deal and got this. Labor Day weekend in the French Quarter is extremely busy, as it hosts the event Southern Decadence, which is the LGBT Mardi Gras. (if I was a few weeks earlier, I could have gotten the Crowne Plaza for $104/night, but I kept putting it off. Oh well.)

  4. Update: I did not take that bid from original post. I am still thinking about making this trip or not... so far, hotel prices have jumped up to around $116/night between Hotwire and Priceline (as well as LastMinuteTravel).
  5. The rental company was Budget, and the car class was Economy (got a Ford Focus).
  6. The hotel did indeed wind up being the Sheraton on Canal Street. This was during an extremely busy time of year (Southern Decadence, which is basically the LGBT Mardi Gras).
  7. Price.line: $17/day during an EXTREMELY busy season: Gay Days @ Walt Disney World MCO (Orlando, FL) $109 total Site says I saved 56%. Rack rates through most of the Big 5 rental vendors was over $200 for a weekly rate.
  8. City: New Orleans, LA Area: French Quarter / Mississippi River Dates: Sep 3 2015 - Sep 7 2015 Rate: $79/night FULL AMENITIES: Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower (Found using the Bidding.Helper tool and Hotwire Easy View) Help indentifying would be much appreciated.

  10. Hello all. I'd like to request some help identifying this hotel... Area: New Orleans (French Quarter / Bourbon Street) Reccomendations: 85% Dates: 8/28/14 - 9/2/14 Rate: $86/night (claims 45% off, based on $155) Stars: 4 Amentities: Smoke-Free, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet Access Amenties (Accessibility): Accessibile for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessibile path of travel Based on what I read on the list, it could be the Crowne Plaza ($155 rack rate, matches 85% off above) or the Sheraton ($110/night rack rate). But I'd like you guys with better skills to take a crack at it.
  11. Airport: Orlando, FL (MCO) Website: Priceline Dates: 6/1/12 - 6/4/12 Rental Company: Advantage Price: $20/day (Priceline advertised rate, not bidding price) Details: For my dates, Priceline advertised Advantage as about $18+ per day, non-bidding rate. They were the only rental company that inexpensive that was in-terminal (any other rental company that was cheaper required a shuttle, and then only $1 - $2 cheaper). I could not for the life of me get a similar rate by bidding, trying to get Alamo, Hertz, etc. So I just booked the Priceline discountet-advertised rate. The total through Priceline was $117 after taxes/fees, and the same rate through Advantage's own site would have been $139. So Advantage's site must have a different taxes/fee rate structure. Also, Hotwire's advertised rates were more expensive, and Expedia did not have any cheaper rates. I should also note that this is an relatively busy time of year for Orlando tourism (the Orlando "Gay Days" is going on this week, as well as "Star Wars Weekends" at Disney's Hollywood Studios).
