  1. The winning bid was $62 per night, plus $14 in taxes and fees, for a total cost of $76 per night. If I had booked the same room at the hotel website, the cost would have been $161 per night. Thus, I got a 53% discount on this room, and I saved $85 per night.
  2. The winning bid was $57, or $71 after taxes and fees. The same room, if booked at the hotel website, would cost around $122, so I saved about $50 this time. Every little bit helps. Also, it should be noted that this property is not on Better Bidding's Priceline Hotel List for this zone, so it will need to be added for the benefit of future travelers. Thanks!
  3. The winning bid was $72, or $89 after taxes and fees. The same room, if booked through the hotel website would have been $122 after taxes and fees. Thus, I saved a little over $30 on this deal. Not a huge savings this time, but every little bit helps.
  4. Currently, the betterbidding.com Priceline Hotel List for Alabama shows no 4-star hotels in this zone, so this one will need to be added to the list. Thanks!
  5. The winning bid was $74 per night, or $91 including taxes. The same room, if booked at the hotel website, would have cost $135 per night, or $158 after taxes. Thus, I saved $67 per night on this deal via PRICELINE.
  6. The winning bid was $80. The total cost after taxes was $100. If booked through the hotel website, the same room would have cost $162, or $190 after taxes. Thus, I saved $90 on this deal.
  7. My previous bid of $66 was not accepted, so I bid $69 and won. Who knows if I could have won with a $67 bid or a $68 bid? The total cost after taxes is $86. The same room, if booked via the hotel website, would have cost $159, or $183 after taxes. This, it appears I saved $97 this time! Betterbidding.com has been invaluable to me through the years. Thanks!
  8. The winning bid was $68. After taxes and fees, the final price is $84.22. If I had booked through the hotel website, the final price would have been $97.67. Not a huge savings this time, but every little bit helps!
  9. The winning bid was $56 per night (or $67 per night including taxes and fees), for a total cost of $202. The same room, if booked through the hotel website, would have been $548. Thus, I saved $346 on this deal.
  10. The rate for the room using the hotel website was $99, so I saved about $35 by using Price.line.
  11. The winning bid was $70, or $83.18 after all taxes and fees. If I had purchased the same room from the hotel's website, the rate would have been $169 per night, or $206.50 after all taxes and fees. Thus, I saved $123.35 per night using betterbidding.com and priceline.com. Also, hello to my friend Karen, who is new to the site (and Priceline) and will probably see this post.
  12. This hotel did not appear on betterbidding.com's Hotel List for the Lake Placid area. It is a sister property to the High Peaks Resort, which is located across the street. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a room at the High Peaks Resort, which I would estimate to be a 3.5 or 4 star property on the PRICELINE scale.
  13. The winning bid was $75. After all taxes and fees, the total paid is $93. The same room, if booked using the hotel website, would be $199 before taxes and fees or $227 after. Thus, using PRICELINE.com and betterbidding.com saved me $134 in this instance.
  14. The winning bid was $70. After all taxes and fees, the total cost is $88. The same room, if booked through Travelocity, would have been $107. Thus, I saved $19 using Priceline. Not a huge savings, but every little bit helps.
  15. After all taxes and fees, the total price was $65. The really good news is that the same room, if booked through Travelocity or the hotel website, would have cost $199, or $233 after taxes and fees. Thus, using PRICELINE saved me $168.
  16. Winning Bid: $55 Total cost (including taxes): $71 Rate if I had booked using the hotel's website: $119 Total cost (including taxes) if I had booked using the hotel's website: $132 Total amount saved by using betterbidding.com and Priceline.com: $61. I like warm chocolate chip cookies!
  17. The winning bid was $62. After taxes and fees, the total is $80. Had I booked directly from the hotel site, the rate would have been $209 before taxes and fees. Note that the hotel is now listed as a 3.5 star, while the hotel list has it as a 3 star.
  18. Winning bid was $60. If I had booked from the hotel site, the rate would have been $129.

  20. $48 was the winning bid. After all taxes and fees, the total is $62. If I had booked at the hotel site, the rate would have been $119 + taxes/fees.
  21. Total price after taxes is $155. If I had made a standard reservation at the hotel website, the total cost would have been $279, so I saved well over $100. Also, you should note that the zone formerly known as Nashville(Airport BNA) has been subdivided into Nashville Airport East and Nashville Airport West. The Sheraton Music City Hotel is located in Nashville Airport East. The other 3.5* hotels on your list (Marriott and Hotel Preston) are in Nashville Airport West. This board is a great help in knowing what to bid. Thanks for the help.
  22. $86 after all taxes and fees. If I had booked directly from the hotel, the total would have been $134. Thus, I saved right at $50.
  23. $140.38 total (after all taxes and fees) for 2 rooms. A penny saved is a penny earned.
