  1. Started out at $45, and slowly worked my way up in $2 increments -adding Chamblee, Riverdale, and Jonesboro- till I hit $51 (looks like they're charging between $129 and $155 on other sites). It's a really nice hotel. The rooms are large and modern, and the staff here is great. The only downside is the parking ($28 valet). Fortunately there are a couple of public parking spots nearby that charge $10 per night. Used the PRICE.LINE link on this site.
  2. Booked last minute using the PRICELINE link. Really nice 5 star hotel, right off St Stevens Green, and a little over a block from Grafton Street. Think it was going for around $330 a night on other sites.
  3. Used the PRICELINE link for each try.. Tried bidding $50 yesterday, and it prompted me for a second chance if I upped my bid to $60. Today it accepted $52. Was kind of expecting (and hoping for) the Days Inn. There's aren't too many hotels on the island higher than 2 stars, and this one is ranked 3rd on Trip Advisor.
  4. $68 accepted first bid. $81.20 total. Used the PRICELINE.com link.
  5. Just booked this for my parents. Probably should have come in a little lower, but oh well. Got it on the first try at $100. The Courtyard JFK is my favorite hotel in the area. Nice rooms and great people working there.
  6. Slowly increased bid, adding different areas. 4 star: $120 Times Square $125 Midtown West $130 Midtown East $135 Central Park South $140 Madison Square Garden $145 Empire State Building $150 Chelsea Used the PRICELINE link on www.betterbidding.com
  7. Used the PRICELINE link on Betterbidding. Bid $60 on Historic District - Penn's Landing, and was offered a redid at $73. I went back to the main screen and upped my bid to $62, adding Convention Center - Mid Center City. Declined. Upped the bid to $64, and added Museum District (which has no 4 star hotels). Bingo! Good thing too because I was really hoping I'd get the Hyatt Penn's Landing.
  8. Took about 9 bids adding different zones and star levels, but I finally got the Courtyard Marriott just a few blocks from Boston Common. $82 bucks out the door!
  9. I went from $70 to $90 a couple days ago, adding 4* hotels in Quincy Market, Copley, Beacon Hill, Boston Harbor, and Fenway; all to no avail. Yesterday I got the Hyatt Regency at $80 on my third bid. After bidding $75, I got the 'retry for $86 screen,' but just went back, added another area, and bid $80. Success! Used the PRICELINE link on Better Bidding.
  10. Booked this room last minute. Started at $60, and increased by $10 increments adding rebid zones. Finally accepted at $90. Expedia had the property listed for $180. Used the PRICELINE link.
  11. Started at $50, no dice. Added Buckhead and increased to $55, and won. As always, used the PRICELINE link.
  12. After reading whplanet's post, I went right in at $56/night ($201.84 total) and got 3 rooms at the Marriott Downtown. I've stayed there before and it's a pretty decent property in a great location. Not bad considering my buddy was going to book the rooms at the nearby Doubletree for $160 plus tax per room. As always, used the PRICELINE link.
  13. First I tried 4 star hotels in the downtown area, bidding from $50-$80 (adding different sectors after each bid since the only 4 star hotels are downtown). Struck out each time. Then started bidding on 3.5 star hotels, and my first bid of $55 was accepted. Used the PRICELINE link.
  14. Tried bidding $50 at first, and then it offered me a second chance bid of $68. Instead, my girlfriend logged in and bid $60. Accepted! Used the betterbidding PRICELINE link both times.
  15. First tried 4 and 3.5 star hotels near Penn's Landing, but was shot down with an $80 bid. Then bid $70 ($87 with tax) and got the Marriott Downtown.
