  1. That's a wide range of areas and low price point for L.A. and 800 is a tight budget for 7 nights… I'd start with the area that I want the most and the max I'm willing to pay per night (which in your case at 800.00 might be less than 100.00 per night because they will add tax on)…Then if I get declined I'd add more areas and keep the same price since you have a fixed budget.. Holiday Inn near LAX was 95.00 per night for Fathers day weekend, just FYI.
  2. I won Holiday Inn Los Angeles Int'l Airport (LAX) for 95.00 per night for 2 nights. June 17 - 19, 2016. I started with 3 stars and 75.00. I kept adding beach and nice areas and 5.00 to my bid price till I won something...The only thing about this bid is that I never chose 2.5 stars but the hotel I won is rated 2.5 stars on BetterBidding….. I guess this is OK since I wasn't winning anything else and I was almost out of nice areas to add. bid by 5.00… I only chose 3 stars because you are automatically given the higher rated stars and I never went down on stars … just added more areas… I did not add Inglewood because I don't like the hotel locations in Inglewood. The address for this hotel is 9901 LaCienega Blvd. Los Angeles, CA
  3. Bid 50.00 for 2 star - 1 night - CA- Fresno, Pinedale-UC Fresno - WON - got Extended Stay America Fresno North.
  4. I needed a room for one night, 10/11 - 10/12, 2014. I bid 100.00 4.5 star west of strip, north strip, south strip - declined. Then bid 130.00 west of strip only, hoping to get The Palms or The Rio since they are West of the and won The Palms! Enjoyed the hotel. Called to let them know I wouldn't be getting there until very late. When I got there they had no rooms available so they upgraded me to a suite on the 26th floor! Talk about WINNING!! Never had a chance to stay at The Palms so this was a great first experience.
  5. Maybe I am a dinosaur but I still use Priceline for airfare. It consistently gets me 30-40% off published airline prices. Now mind you I cannot choose the flight time or airline but if you are on a budget and have the time to coordinate your schedule to the flights they give you it is still a winner. I haven't found any other discount site for flights where the discount is as good as price line.
