  6. Amenities Free parking, Free breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Really a great win, and I used the $15 off Hotwire Coupon here on BB, so I paid 42. It was a rush booking, I just took the cheapest hotel instead of my normal studying and knowing the hotel ahead of time. I was a bit nervous with the 3 out of 5 TripAdvisor rating, but the hotel is just fine, very underrated. I would stay there again. Thank You BB for the coupon, I used your HOTWIRE links
  7. Western Burbs had plenty of good 3 star hotels to be won under $50. The 3.5 Doubletree could have been had for about $10 more Started at $42 for Oakbrook, declined added Elmhurst at $43 declined, Bloomingdale 44 than Schaumburg at $45 I used the BB PRICELINE link Thank You
  8. Thank you BB, this is a great deal. Of course I used your HOTWIRE links and the coupon included for $15 off. 9. fyi to those bidding and being turned down. I go to Denver to visit family and sometime bid. (looking for an excuse not to stay w/family if you get my drift). The 3.5 Tech Center (Sheraton?) was $58 on PRICELINE EXPRESS for Labor Day weekend, bid $50 and $51 after adding downtown, both turned down. Next morning willing to pay up the $58, it was gone so ....No big deal, I with go with plan B to stay with family. Today per an email from PL the $58 is back with a invitation to bid again ya know.....I would have taken something near $58 a week ago, but cant now. Just wanted to let people know PL will now update you. I sure hope it wasn't always available and I missed it. In the past I never received an invitation to rebid after the day of the bid
  10. I think thereuare didn't offer a NYOP strategy because Las Vegas Strip Hotels have really tightened up to the Express Deal prices. Over the past few years its been rare for me to get much more than the 5% off link mentioned using NYOP. Also bidding, you can end up with a non casino hotel if that matters In other cities, I have shaved off 20% off the Express Deal price, but not Strip hotels in Vegas But if you want a strategy, at this time looking to get a 4.5 star for $65 or less you really don't need a bunch of rebid zones $63 4.5 Northwest $64 adding Central East $65 adding Central West Otherwise check back early November, the 4.5 star hotels might lower prices if they have lots of unsold rooms. In the meantime, register for Priceline emails, every once in a while they send me a $20 coupon
  11. Since it was the only 9+, it was easy to id the property. It was $59 on PRICELINE EXPRESS, my first bid at $52 was accepted. I used the BB PRICELINE link to make my purchase. I am happy with my win, thanks again.
  12. You are both welcome. You had to book multiple rooms. Yeah, sometimes it hasn't allowed me to do that either even when I start out booking more than one room(there is a tab on the initial search screen that allows you to book multiple rooms without trying to do the add on ). I hope you get rooms close together. And the resort fee is the same for everyone, it just changes so often that sometimes the new number isn't updated or one place shows the pre tax resort fee, the other the post tax. Have a great trip!
  13. Use the PRICELINE link at the top of the screen to get to PL, after you choose your PRICELINE EXPRESS deal there should be an "Apply Coupon" tab just underneath the total cost. Click on apply coupon link and enter the code
  14. Its a tad easier on PRICELINE EXPRESS because of the bed choice offered on your dates , the BB 5% coupon, and Ive noticed PL often has lower taxes & fees added to the room rate. Look at the PRICELINE EXPRESS NE strip 5 star hotel and casino and you should get a bed choice matching the rooms at the Palazzo if it hasn't changed yet. I think one of the BB experts here will come soon with more and or better advice. I was just throwing my 2 cents in
  15. I tried bidding, started at $21 Strip SW, added Central E $23, then Central West at $24, all denied. Just went with the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal with the 5% off coupon available here on BB. I used the PRICELINE link from BB, and here are the amenities. Thank You Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  16. NICO, You can call Hotwire, and they will take your transaction over the phone. One time I had no power for my computer, and needed a hotel. I called Hotwire and the agent read each available hotel and the amenities to me over the phone. I took the first 90% approval property, it was great, half off retail too
  17. Thank you for the followup Kyle. I was reminded of your issue while reading some hotel reviews for the Excalibur. Someone that posted a review a few days ago had their reservation to Red Rock changed to the Excalibur on very short notice due to 'overbooking.' I'm so happy that HOTWIRE gave you a heads up and gave you a nice hotel too
  18. Looking at the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals, it appears you have 3 different strip properties that can work. 3 star SW $74, 3.5 SW $87, and 3.5 Center East $95. I would guess they are Excalibur, Luxor and Ballys. Depending on which star category and location you liked best, bidding would use different strategies. Afterall you don't want to end up with Circus Circus , Stratosphere, Palace Station etc... with poor choice of rebid zones. The simplest least expensive would be start at $65 3 star SW, if denied add Central East, then Central west as rebid zones maybe 68, then 71? Similar strategy if going after 3.5 SW with 78 and 82?. Going after the 3.5 Center East leaves you with just Center West as a rebid zone $85 then 88? If you want to be near your friends, try for Excal and Ballys. Luxor looks close but its a pain to get to MGM quickly. Excal might be the quickest, but if you are Ballys, then you are closer to the center which is where most want to hang out edit- If you bid on PRICELINE, it doesn't mean you will get one of the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal hotels.
  19. There are lots of good deals on these dates. Luxor and Excalibur were 39/40 on PE, so figure those were 36ish bidding. Cosmo was $85, Trop was 55, Monte Carlo was 43. I didn't want to get stuck with a bad room at Monte Carlo with the construction, otherwise I would have grabbed that Anyways, Hard Rock was an unlocked PE deal for me, at $24. Started at $20, declined added Center Strip at $21 and accepted
  20. $126 for a weekend, is a very good deal. Ive stayed there twice through HOTWIRE since Doubletree upgraded the property. Its a nice as any other 4 star, just a low action casino. Ask for a Paradise Tower Strip view when you check in. They seem to be available because they are generally 2 Queen bed rooms, and people often want a King when checking in. If you don't mind the Queen beds, the view is great
  21. Bump, in case your request was missed by the experts btw-I'm not seeing that 4.5 property now, but another for $205. The Boutique description you saw would indicate the possibility of the Cromwell, as its been previously shown as a Boutique Hotel in its description per the Hotwire hotel list that you can look up on this site
  22. Its $214 now, and I would guess Wynn. The only other 9+ North Strip with a Casino is Palazzo
  23. That hotel came up on a recent search of mine, I thought it was the Howard Johnson Anaheim/Fullerton Conference Center. But just a guess
  24. I received the Doubletree Hotel Santa Ana/Orange County Airport on 201 East MacArthur Blvd, it looks to be in the same Hutton Centre Business area as the Club
  25. Started Bidding for a 2.5 star at $66 in Dana Point declined, added Laguna, then Newport and won for $70 Thank You I use BB PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for all my purchases
