  1. FYI The Aria is $146 on Priceline List View (no guessing, not express not name your price-on list view)) for your dates, you might even find some coupon code to get that below $140
  2. hmm, I dont see it either. Maybe your country website is pulling up different properties? I see a similar one, 4.5 Star but with a 'pet friendly' amenity as well for $190 but there isnt a 5 star offer I think the 4.5 star is THE HOTEL at Mandalay Bay
  3. I havent been following that week, but its been my experience that tight supply hotel room weeks only get tighter as the date approaches
  4. I too think its Luxor HOTWIRE will move properties between ratings, and Luxor has been won several times as a 4* star recently on HOTWIRE. Its a nice place, but I understand that some dont thinks its 4*. I think 3.5 or 4* is a fair rating for it. Considering you are looking for a room for 1, have you thought about bidding for a 4* or 3.5 on PRICELINE?
  5. Looks like there have been some changes, the $110/nt 3.5 star with a slightly different amenity set I see there now I think is the Flamingo There is a 4 Star South for $85 I dont know if they can substitute the higher rated hotel if you tried to get the Flamingo
  6. I noticed the Pet Policy for your Express deal is 'pets' under 30 lbs, THEHOTEL has a two pet policy of up to 100lbs So ? Cosmo has a policy of 1 pet under 30lbs, but if I had to guess I would guess MB before Cosmo Good luck and let us know
  7. Started bidding at $47 adding rebid zones without 3.5* or higher properties until I hit at $51. It was $3 less than the PRICELINE EXPRESS 3.5* which was probably the Luxor as well I used the PRICELINE link above and the 5% off code Summer to get a net of $48.50
  8. The express deal doesnt have a pool, so it probably isnt the Doubletree. Its a 8 of 10 guest score so not the Hyatt. I hope $65 works
  9. If it helps, I had to go to $11 below the Express deal price to win my 4* downtown Good Luck
  10. jallen, I just used priceline and got the Hyatt for nearby dates. I mention this because there is a downtown 4* for $158 on PRICELINE EXPRESS with a choice of bedding, and with the 5% off 'SUMMER" coupon you are $150. It looks similar to the Priceline Express as on my dates and several here believe its also the Hyatt. If you dont need choice of bedding, you can try 'Name your own price' on PRICELINE for $10-20 less with and use the %5 off coupon and get something close 140. My 'Name your own price' was accepted $11 less than the PRICELINE EXPRESS price
  11. Hi June, Im familiar with the area, and I would definately NOT stay at that Ramada. Its a terrible area even though its so close to Carlsbad. One of the great finds I have made on HOTWIRE is the Holiday Inn Express in San Clemente. Its very nice and for your dates I see the 3 star San Clemente 95% approval is $109 (2 adults 2 kids) on HOTWIRE. I think thats the Holiday Inn Express and where Ive stayed the last half dozen times I have worked in that area. Granted, its 30 minutes to Legoland, but some of those others areas you have bid for are also 30 minutes
  12. After reconsidering my options, I once again tried bidding with more realistic prices for my dates. Using the PRICELINE link above I started at $74 increased by $3s(St Louis has only a few areas with 4 star hotels so I could immediately rebid by adding areas w/o a 4*) & won the Hyatt Regency at the Arch for $89 minus 5% for the promotion code 'SUMMER' a net of $84 and I can add nights at the same rate(I might do that) More than I wanted to pay, less than $100 Express deal price and less that the $140ish best prices for 4* hotels I could find in this area Overall Im very happy because I got a hotel in the area I wanted at a fair price for my dates...so Thank you Better Bidding
  13. Curious as maybe I will wait to see if this decreases in price before rebidding on name your own price, or if another hotel shows up Guest Score: Rated 9.0out of 10 (or higher) Guaranteed Amenities: Free Internet Pets Allowed Business Center Fitness Center Tue Oct 1, 2013 Thu Oct 3, 2013
  14. Thank you Romelle and thereuare, We already have someone going so I can either 1) not go 2) share his room(I really dont want to) 3) get my own room (desired) For $50ish, what the Hyatt has been won at several times recently even for weekdays, I would want my own room. If its a chance that I pay $70+ and end up away from my desired area(Hilton or Hyatt) and get something like the Rennasaince(half mile a way) then its not worth it Any guess on the $97 4* express deal in downtown?
  15. Update I added 2 more bidding areas without a 4* and was rejected at 52 and 55 Will make other plans Thank you
  16. $45 and $48 failed I dont really have to go, so I might not bid higher. I will think about it. Has anyone come back and rebid the same number and won in downtown?
  17. The La Quinta Santa Ana fits in the map area as well, and is a 4/5 on TA. Ive stayed there, its better than the LQ JWA
  18. Agree for $53 & 4/5 TA rating cant be bad w/breakfast on Kauai I'll guess Kauai Inn
  19. an fyi for everyone I think $210 is about the most I would consider paying for the Makena Golf Resort too. There is a 5 star on Lanai thats available for many dates in summer, your dates are $278 Its probably the Four Seasons Lodge at Keole Even if you are on Maui prior or after, you can take the ferry to Lanai
  20. The one Im seeing for your dates is $159 with a 3.5 TA rating At that price on a July weekend, I would guess Doubletree Doheney Suites but would wait for thereuare to offer an opinion
  21. I too think its Secrets, but that would be a guess. I replied to say check Hotwire 'standard' rates as often they have good deals for AIs in Mexico For instance on your dates, $197 can get the 4.5* Riu RM Palace or my choice the 4* Grand Palladium for $227
  22. I do see the 3.5* for $58, and its probably the Wyndam with $15ish parking, no breakfast and the coffee cart in the lobby wants $3 for a cup of joe on weekends. So while the 3.5 might have been a slightly better choice, not dramatically. Ive ended up with the Santa Ana La Quinta before, its one of the better La Quintas
