1. Hi thereuare Its 7/9-7/10 Could it be Millenium Bailey?
2. It looks like the Copthorne Tara, but it has an 8.0+ Guest Favorite tag. Does the Tara really have an 8+? or is this another property? Restaurant Fitness Center Free Internet Business Center Bed Choice Queen Or Twin Bed - Nonsmoking Room Nonsmoking Club Room Thank You
3. I am very pleased with this win, one of my best ever on Hot.wire 95% Hotwire approval, 4.5 Tripadvisor rating Amenities: Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. I used Better Bidding HOTWIRE link to make my purchase Thank You!
4. I tried bidding for 2 rooms 5* Mayfair, a bit hesitant to go too high because I wasnt getting the 9+ guarantee in that zone when the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal was a 9+. 2 rooms on Express deals dropped it to $225, but I was only willing to bid up to $190(rejected at $180 $185 too) I booked the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London triple occupancy for $279 on HOTWIRE, really a supurb property that I could easily identify using Better Bidding 4.5 Tripadvisor rating 95% Hotwire approval Amenities: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. Thank You very much! Of course I used Better Bidding HOTWIRE link to make my purchase
5. This 3 star has been showing up for Downtown Des Moines for about a month, far less than anyting else, around $50 on Express Deals. I almost grabbed it a few weeks back, but a customer put me up at the Embassy Suites(overpriced around $200). I figured this hotel was Ft Des Moines though I havent stayed there & havnt seen it reported here. It gets awful reviews, but they do get $150 when downtown is jumppin. After winning at $44 Im willing to take a chance. I plan to report back if its worth the discounted rate. The major problem I see is if this hotel doesnt measure up for Priceline, we really cant bid for the 2.5 Holiday Inn Express Drake(which is worth $70 all day long), any Downtown 3 star or use Downtown as an extra rebidding zone..too dangerous. Wish me luck! Anyways, started at $42, added Ankeny at $43 and won adding W Des Moines at $44
6. Hi Aaron, Thank you for the reply. From the link it appears PL does collect the VAT as that thread deals with those that wanted to check if they can get it returned
7. Mayfair Soho area 7/2-7/3 $230/nt Restaurant, Fitness Business 9+ Reading the other threads, I see the Royal Horseguards has theses amentities AND a Free Wifi Could this amenity set also be the Royal Horseguards? Or what would be your guess? Also, does my Priceline purchase include VAT? or do I pay that seperately at the hotel? I always use Better Bidding Priceline links for my searches and purchases Thank You
8. I tried bidding several zones yesterday starting at $60 up to $70 for a 3*, no acceptance. If you bid W Des Moines 3*, dont be surprised to get the Sheraton as it will accept low offers from time to time. Today I tried 2.5* $58 for DSM Aiport, rejected $59 adding Urbandale rejected $60 accepted I thought I would end up w/ Baymont Airport which Ive never stayed at but gets good reviews, won the Fairfield Ankeny which I have stayed at and very happy with. If anyone is interested, the 2.5* in W Des Moines is often available on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $50-55, but I didnt bid there because I think the La Quinta is just OK I always use Better Bidding PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for my purchases, Thank You
9. Priceline had a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for the night of the 26th, 3* for $59. I did a Priceline bid on my own and it accepted by first bid of $54 for Springhill Suites W Des Moines. I am very happy with that win, as I have paid as much as $72 on PL for that property. I will probably just spend the one night now rather than 2 to get the extra $10 off via Hotwire, but thank you so much for your guess on this HotWire Hot Rate. I too thought it was the Country Inn Of Course I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link * Tip for those pricing Des Moines Hotels, Hotwire will often knock a buck or two off if you search a surrounding city like Adel IA
10. Thereuare, Those amenities are listed, but not exactly as you have written them. How do you work the 'Copy Amenities' link on BiddingHelper.com? I want to post them, but cant copy and paste the full set of amenities
11. Help ID 3* West Des Moines 3/26-3/28 $75 for 2 people- $74 for 3 or 4 4.5 Tripadvisor Rating 95% approval. I have used your links for searches, and intend to when I purchase Amenities Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Business center Self-service laundry
12. That property is back, and I think the main clue is a 3* property with both a restaurant and free breakfast. So I would guess Embassy Suites or Ayres. I think all rooms at the ES should have enough bedding for you, at least there is enough room. . I dont know about Ayres or any other possible property
13. Price.line does come with occupancy risk, but normally a 3 star or above have fair rollaway prices if they wont give you a room with two beds. I noticed the Angels Stadium Area has a 3+ PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal at $78 for your dates. My startegies 1) Go with the Hot.wire 99 deal 2) Try some lowball bids(sub 70) for the 3 star on Price.line, its an 8+ guest rating which means its pretty good in my book and includes breakfast 3) Hold off until next year, but keep checking Hot.wire for deals. If you see a deal for $80 or below for 4 people, jump on it Caveat- With Priceline you might get stuck getting a rollaway, but Ive been stuck having to get a rollaway with a Hotwire deal too. Yep I put 4 occupancy and they gave me a King room no sofa so I spent an extra $10/nt...Orbitz hotel did the same and I got the LAST rollaway at $15.nt...so go figure and there is risk. The only time a Priceline hotel didnt give me 2 Qs or a King and sofabed after I asked, one hotel gave me a rollaway for $10 for the WHOLE stay
14. Feb 2015 is a ways off, and a slower time for Disney. I would hold off and book something in a few months or not until a real deal($50-60 for a 3 star) popped up
15. I won this property for last week on a last minute bid. The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal was $68, so I started at $58 denied. I added Downtown and bid $60, won the Fairfield in Ankeny I was happy with the quality hotel received Of course I used the Priceline link
16. Nice win for a fine property, to save another $13 you can park overnight for only $10 a block away and across the street in the outdoor River parking lot
17. My win was for the Courtyard West Des Moines/Clive There are 2 Courtyards in W Des Moines, my win was for the Clive location Please note that Priceline SPLIT the W Des Moines bid area to West Des Moines West Des Moines Jordan Creek The newer Courtyard is in the Jordan Creek Zone, the Clive location is in the West Des Moines zone. The Express Deal for W Des Moines was a '8 Guest Favorite' priced at $57 and Jordan Creek was $94 both without the free breakfast amenity so I guessed it was these hotels, my first bid was 50 denied added J Creek at 51 and won Clive. With Des Moines, I had to check PL often as the rates fluctuate quite a bit for the Express Deal to come to a reasonable level. Of Course I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link to make my purchase
18. Tried bidding several times W Des Moines for both 3 and 3.5 star up to $72, never hit. Then starting bidding 2.5 star downtown, missed up to $69 finally won with $71 bid . Tripadvisor had mixed reviews, but its an excellent property and would stay again I used the PRICELINE link found here on BB Thank You
19. Im not positive, and I dont want to get your hopes up, but I think that 3 star for $116(now 114) is the grafton. The grafton shows as a 3.5 on the hotel list, so lets see what others think
20. Started @ $52, denied, added Eagan w/$54 denied and added Woodbury & was accepted at $56 The Express Deal was $61 Thank you
21. $52 was my first bid and it was accepted, and yes I am VERY happy with this win. The Priceline.Express was $58 with a 9 rating, so I figured the Priceline Express was Springhill Suites, but I bid anyways because I am happy with the other 3 star choices in this zone(they are all good, I'd even take the Comfort Suites at this price) The rate I see on travel sites is $155, the special 'discount rate' for this hotel is $129 for my function...so I am very happy even with the added parking charge Thank You Better Bidding Question: I am being offered extra nights, how long do I have to accept the offer?
22. Thanks Aaron, Thereuare , Yellowdog I was thinking it was the Baymont too Anyways, I ended up moving my dates around and will stay in another city that night. Please close this thread and I will post my Priceline win on that board
