  2. What were the dates? I actually booked the Westin Times square a few years ago for $36/night. Would love to be able to investigate this for myself. thanks
  3. I have to say thanks to the previous poster. I have been trying to get something for the last few weeks for 12/18-12/20. I noticed the dates were close and followed the same bidding pattern mentioned and got the same deal $135/night for the grand hyatt for 12/18-12/20. Used the PRICELINE links and got a great deal. thanks!
  4. Ended up staying in a friends condo during different dates. Did not book the hotel in question.
  5. Midtown Central 3.5 star hotwire rating as well as trip advisor rating. Amenities Suite No Smoking Fitness Business Internet Kitchenette $199/night 12/16-12/20 Any help is appreciated thanks
  6. Double tree guest suites times square - $209/night April 30 - May 3 4* - Suites, fitness center, business center, internet, restaurant We needed two rooms that could house 4 people each. I am VERY happy with this!! Perfect location since most of our time is spent seeing shows.
  7. Just wanted to pass along a pretty good win. March 27-29 St. Pete Treasure Island - Tradewinds Island Grand for $125/night. Reviews look decent on trip advisor over all happy with this win.
  8. I would consider the 3* chelsea/madison square garden area. It is listed at $189/night for 4 people. Based on the listing it I think it is the holiday Inn express. This property is brand new and in a good location. Just a thought...good luck
  9. I am having trouble figuring this one out. I have done the comparisons but nothing is matching 4* Times Square 9/4 - 9/7 Boutique Non-smoking Restaraunt Business Center Internet Trip Advisor - 120+ reviews based on June of 2009 Thought it might be the Mela but the trip advisor doesn't match. They also don't list no smoking on their hotwire options. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks Matt
  10. Just wanted to share a good deal on hotwire. June30-July 5 W times square. Location: Times Square Stars: 4* Amenities: Internet, Business, Restaurant, Spa, Fitness Price:$180 Matches the Westin Times Square...thought that was what I was getting but I am not at all disappointed with the W.
  11. My parents are now joining us on our trip to the city. They put in a bid at $145/night and got the Time Hotel. I have checked tripadvisor.com and other review sites and it seems to be a pretty decent hotel. The location is great and that is always the biggest factor. The website has rates from $319 so the price is excellent as well. Over all I am pleased we will be only 5 blocks apart, great location, and a great price but can anyone tell me about this hotel?? thanks
  12. I just got the Millenium Broadway for May 28 - June 1 for $145/night. We have stayed here before and I am very pleased with this bid. According to their website the lowest rates are $255. Just thought I would share a pretty good win.
  13. If I had to guess it is probably the Sheraton Manhattan-as far as I know this is the only hotel in the Mid. Central area that has a pool. We stayed there a few years ago and it was a pretty decent hotel. It has a less then stellar review on tripadvisor.com but over all it was fine. The location is great, security was good especially after dark, and the rooms were in pretty good shape. I know they have done some fixing up to the place as well. I would not call it a renovation but something have been fixed up. The price seems very good as April is a very busy time in the city. The weather is typically great and people target this time as well as the fall for vacationing in the city. I hope this helps.
  14. Just wanted to pass along a win Millenium Broadway Sept 18-20 for $300/night. I have been trying up to $300 for the last 6 weeks or so and finally won something. It seems to be a pretty good deal as well....if you go to the website it is almost $500/night. I am wondering does anyone know anything about this hotel? The website looks nice but that is the job of the website. thanks
  15. I am still in shock over this one. I booked the Westin Times Square for March 14-17 for $33/night. Yeah that is no typo it is $33/night. If booked through the website for those days it was over $420/night......this is the deal of a lifetime.
  16. this is a two night stay the night of the 31st and the night of the 1st. This was my first bid in this zone and it was accepted, most of the other 4* properties in the area are going for at least $250 or more a night for this weekend thus after some research I started at $100 and was very pleased to have it picked up. This is still a 4* property for priceline which might I add it deserves I have stayed there before and it is great.
  17. Just got the peabody which is a wonderful hotel for december 31 and Jan 1 via priceline. The winning bid was $100 a night which is a really good deal for this hotel. Typically a 4 or 4.5 * hotel so I am very pleased.
  18. Help with this resort 4* downtown disney restaraunt pools fitness center golf tennis business center laundry thanks again
  19. 4* disney maingate this is listed as a resort restaraunt fitness center spa services high speed internet golf nearby tennis business center laundry facilities It almost sounds like gaylord palm but I was wondering what anyone else thought. thanks for any help
  20. 4* midtown central I was wondering if someone could ID this hotel Customer favorite Restaraunt business center fitness center it is going for $141 which seems pretty good for a 4* hotel Please help - thanks
  21. I am not against that at all (changing hotels that is). the hotel that I really want to stay at is the renaissance, or the W times square. Any suggestions to get either of these at less than $300 a night. In the mean time I thought $98 was alright for the 14th at least. thanks again for all the help. Matt
  22. I am looking for the best price I can find somewhere close to things in times square. I typically would stay at the edison but they are even more expensive this time of year. Sheraton is typically a reputable brand name. The only other place in the city I have stayed is the embassy suites down town and I have said I will not do that again at least not when it is cold outside. We have tickets to most of the big shows so I also want to be close to the theatres. any suggestions for other hotels are welcome especially if they are nice and moderately expensive (around $200 or less). thanks
  23. I was just wondering what your take on $98 for the sheraton manhattan would be for over valentines. it would be 2/14 - 2/18. The best I can find elsewhere is around $180. I thought it was a godd price but I want to check with the experts. thanks
