  1. Ultimately I decided against taking this trip & did not reserve any hotels. Thanks for your help.
  2. This hotel turned out to be the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside & I reserved it (using your HOTWIRE link) for May 7th - 9th at $87/night. Thanks for your help.
  3. Can you give me some idea of this 4* hotel I got searching Hotwire (used your link) for May 7th - 9th for $87/night. I copied the Hotel Details as follows: Hotel details Amenities Business center Fitness center Internet access Pet friendly Pool(s)Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Accessibility Accessible for hearing impaired I think it might be the Sheraton - but that seems to be a really good price for the Sheraton so I wasn't sure. Any ideas? Thanks!!
  4. I searched Hotwire - using Better Bidding's handy links :-) and I came up with two 3-star hotels that I am having trouble identifying. The date was 4/26/12 for one night and the first one is listed in the Danbury area on the map. There aren't many amenities listed to help: Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Recommended in 75% of reviews. That one is for $75/night. The second shows up in the Southbury section of the map and is for $85/night. Listed amenities are: Fitness Center, Pool(s),Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis nearby. At first I thought this one might be the Danbury Conference Center - but looking at the map I'm not so sure it falls into that area. Also I know the Conf Center's pool is unavailable right now due to renovations so wouldn't they leave that out of the amenities list? Anyone have any thoughts on which hotels these are? Quite honestly I am specifically looking to avoid the Maron Hotel, which I believe is a 2.5 star hotel in Hotwire but since those things are subject to constant change, I am wary. Thanks!
  5. Using the Hotwire Quick Quote box above I was able to get the 3.5* Doubletree Guest Suites-Rocky Point (Westshore - Tampa Airport TPA - South) for $73.00 for March 12th. Thanks for your help!
  6. Just wanted to follow up and let you know that using the HOTWIRE Quick Quote link above, I was able to secure a rate of $74.00 per night at the 3* Hawthorn Suites-Univeral in Orlando (I-Drive North) for March 13th and 14th. In addition, also using the above link, I got the 3.5* Doubletree Guest Suites-Rocky Point (Westshore - Tampa Airport TPA - South) for $73.00 per night for March 12th. (Please let me know if you need me to post these in two new separate threads.) Thanks again for all of your help!
  7. I am getting a price of $74.00 night for a 3-star Condo in Universal Orlando - I-drive North area for the dates 3/13 & 3/14/12. I think, based on your list of hotels, that perhaps this is Hawthorn Suites? Anyone have any idea if that is correct or if there are other possibilities? This is the list of amenities: 1 Bedroom Suite, Fully-equipped Kitchen, Complimentary Breakfast, Free Parking, Daily Housekeeping, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, 24-hour Front Desk, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Condo Thanks for your help!
  8. Won bid of $90 per night for 3/6 & 3/7/12 for Wyndham Tampa Westshore. Started with bid of $85 per night in Zone 4 - Tampa South-Westshore for 3.5*, which was rejected but they said if I wanted to increase to $99 per night they would give me a "free" re-bid. However, I went back and added Zone 5-Tampa West, which was equally acceptable to me & bumped up to $90 per night & won the Wyndham. Have never stayed there but reviews look good so I'm hopeful :-) This was my first time trying Priceline - I think I did pretty well on rate, since the lowest available rate on their website is $175/night. Will definitely try it for my future trips. (And I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link above) Thanks for all the great info!
