  1. Finally! Success! I won the 3* Sheraton Suites for $80 on PRICELINE through your link. After much deliberatin, HOTWIRE searches, and endless PRICELINE attempts.. I am happy with this particular hotel I have stayed there before. I saved $79 off lowest web rate I saw,($159) or $26 off lowest Hotwire rate we saw. They have a manager's reception on Thursdays, so the free snack and drinks will also be very welcome after the long flight from Spain. Thank you again for all your Hotwire assitance! I lost my fear of getting that Holiday Inn stadium (with no shuttle!) once i saw it was a 2.5* on priceline.. not a 3*. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $80.00 Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $19.13 Total Charges*: $99.13
  2. no luck. had wanted to book the suite hotel at one point, but it was not posted very long. have bid PRICELINE up to $79 for 4*, and 75 for 3* with no luck. Now i see a 3* $109 on HOTWIRE with SHUTTLE, RESTAURANT, FITNESS, LAUNDRY.. any ideas ID?? (aug 7th one night) any help appreciated. Thanks. getting frustrated.
  3. Still working on this. Started at $60 for 4*, then dropped to 3*. At one point was offered at 3* level to add $17 to bid and try again. I did not take them up on that. Have gotten up to $70 now for either 4* or 3*. Since I have time I will keep checking HOTWIRE and trying PRICELINE, through your links, of course. I was unaware of how quickly the HOTWIRE offers can disappear!
  4. I am not getting that hotel you see with shuttle at all, so i can even move on it. this is the only 3* I am getting still <link removed>
  5. thanks for your observations. not sure what i will do. perhaps stick with the 4 star at phl and bid up to $80. there is nothing decent available for under $130 online ( sheraton 4 points).
  6. wow. i wonder if the priceline hotels at THE airport area are also doing the same at that level. kind of worrisome now. i have never seen a priceline bid at phl with no shuttle. but then again.. there is always a first time. if i do hotwire, i will definitely only accept a hotel with THE shuttle icon. thanks for the heads up. i have to admit, now i am afraid to do priceline with three stars. i have been losing bidding from $60 up to $70. At $68 got an offer to bid again $17 for a room. (3 or 4*) . I would have a fit if i got a hotel with no shuttle. Any comments? will keep you posted.
  7. August 7th, one night amenities: Fitness Pool Restaurant Laundry Business Center Internet Seems this could be Sheraton Suites? No mention of shuttle, but can i ASSUME there is one? All the 3 str hotels in the area seem to have one. I am concerned this may be some 2.5 star place.. with no shuttle! thanks
  8. I found out about this great website on this forum or elsewhere.. not sure. www.dc.bestparking.com

  13. ( $105..not $107) My first time using HOTWIRE and I am really happy with this hotel for our D.C. stay. There are three adults and one child, so the buffet breakfast and afternoon snacks will be quite welcome, as well as the pool. Parking will be an expensive problem, but I read somewhere there is a Municipal lot two blocks away. If anyone has that exact info.. well appreciated!! Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Trip Advisor Traveler Rating (4.0 out of 5) Hotel 1 room(s) @ $105.00 per night x 2 night(s) $210.00 Tax recovery charge and fees Hotel subtotal $36.38 $246.38 T
  14. Not being able to use Priceline this trip, as a friend decided to come along and we would be too many to a room, I was able to get a room for three adults and one child for this short trip through HOTWIRE. This worked out great, and cheaper than bidding two rooms on Priceline, of course. Amenities were Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Business Center 1 room(s) @ $53.00 per night x 2 night(s) $106.00 Tax recovery charge and fees Hotel subtotal $19.38 $125.38 I used your HOTWIRE link, of course.
  15. Got this on first bid. This is after trying at 3* for several days up to $54. Saved $20 off hotwire price, so am very happy.
  16. Finally gave up on 3*, going up to $52 and $54 every day with free rebid zones. I then opened new window and made new bid for 2.5* at $39 hoping to get the Hyatt Place that seems to be on HOTWIRE for $59. bravo! Got it on first bid. Actually, from my summer experience, many of these new 2.5 * hotels are almost a step above some of the 3* ones! So should I post this separately now? MCI 2.5* $39 Hyatt Place MCI April 30/May 1. Thanks for your help. I used your PRICELINE link, of course.
  17. kept up the bids from $40 up to $50 using free rebid zones in "4 increments... still no luck. i used your convenient PRICELINE link, of course. this has become a routine. fortunately it doesn't take long.
  18. ID this 3* MCI? amenities are: shuttle fitness center business center complimentary breakfast pool(s) High speed interent I have tried to compare with all posts/lists, but the amenities do not match exactly. I have never tried to ID hotwire. is there something else I should do? It is on HOTWIRE for $59 april 30th, one night. i will be using your link at hotw.ire or PRICELINE, whatever we decide.
  19. played around again with several free rebids.. up to $52. think i'll wait on this one.
  20. i see you rpoint. since there are so many free rebid zones.. pretty easy to take it up slowly. am I correct in assuming and being SURE that if today , when i bid , if on priceline's map there are no 3 star hotels in an area i use as free rebid..... that that is so?? just want to make sure i can't accidentally get accepted in a zone i wasn't counting on as the MCI is the ONLY zone acceptable.
  21. Played around for a minute today up to $49 using four rebids. $40 then $44 $48 $49 all rejected with no counterbids. Don't know if it is worth it to start so low at $40. will go higher tomorrow..
  22. P.S. I see 8 free re-bid zones outisde of MCI. Am I wrong?
  23. I will do as suggested, and try to figure out the $59 hotwire. Thank you. I was using the savingsbarn link but now i see you have a direct link from here.. great! i will get back with the results.
