  1. Based off information from the forum I was pretty sure this property would be the Makena Beach and Golf Resort--and I was happy to get it seeing it has good reviews. Started bidding yesterday for 4* in the Wailea-Makena area at $150 (currently two zones don't offer 4* so I used those for re-bids), $155 and $160 with no luck. Started today with $160 and received a counter offer of $194. I declined knowing that there was a Hot.wire and PRICELINE EXPRESS deal in this area with 4* for $179. I then tried $165--no luck. With my last re-bid I offered $170 and it was accepted. Icons listed: Indoor or Outdoor Pool 8+ Guest Rating (Also indicated it was the "Best Deal" for the area) $170 a night for 2 nights (8/15-8/17): Room Subtotal: $340.00 Taxes & Fees: $63.90 Total Charged: $403.90 Used the BB PRICELINE link!! Cheers!
  2. I appreciate the information! It makes me feel better about the not-so-glorious reviews. We plan on being out and about most of the time, so I think it will be fine. The location does seem ideal to explore the area. It will be our first visit, so we're really looking forward to seeing the city! Thanks!
  3. I've been bidding for a couple days...perhaps because of the weekend days. (Two zones currently don't have 4*'s so I used them for re-bids). At $130, it countered at $159...I put in $149 and it was accepted. Only a 3 1/2 out of 5 from trip advisor, but it's in the location I was hoping for. US$149.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: US$447.00 Taxes & Fees: US$101.25 Total: US$548.25
  4. Rate per night: $112 Taxes and fees: $29.92 Total for 2 nights: $253.92 Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access *Area just listed as "Montparnasse" *Also stated 4/5 on Trip Advisor *Listed at $190 w/taxes on Expedia (about $127 savings total)
  5. Bid up to $160 in all three Seoul zones for a 5*-no luck. Started bidding at $80 for 4* and continued to increase by $5, until accepted at $95. Renaissance Hotel (Marriott Property). This was our second stay here. Good location (5 min taxi to Coex or Gangnam shopping area). Nice staff, grand lobby, good size rooms, comfy king bed, big pool. The furniture is a bit dated, but the room is clean, and we've enjoyed our stays. Room Subtotal: US$95.00 Taxes & Fees: US$26.98 Total Charged to Card: US$121.98 I used the BB PRICELINE link for searches. Cheers!
  6. I had tried Priceline bidding for a couple days in this zone, and had got up to $105 with no offers. Therefore, I decided to just go with this hotwire hotel. I was curious what it might be, since there haven't been any hotwire reported wins for Seoul downtown. Amenities listed: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s) 2 rooms, 4 adults, one night 3/20-3/21 Rate per night: $108.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 2 Tax recovery charges & fees: $55.55 Subtotal: $271.55 It turned out only being about $10 cheaper than using Agoda.com for this hotel. Oh, well-it's in a good location, and a pretty good deal! Cheers!
  7. First tried 5* for Seocho-Gu/Gangnam-Gu at $100-no luck. Re-bid at $120-no luck again. Then, tried 4* at $100, which was accepted immediately. Renaissance Seoul Hotel (Marriott property). Wish I would have started lower, seeing that others have snagged this hotel for around $80 in the past. However, seeing that the published rates are $267...it's still a great deal! Total with taxes: $128.42 Used BB PRICELINE link!! Cheers!
  8. Hello Everyone, I started bidding at $50 for 4 star hotels in downtown Portland for 12/20-12/21. The 4 star zone showed the amenities of a restaurant, business center, fitness center, and 7.0 plus customer ratings. Rebidding was easy, because the other 10 zones don't currently offer 4 star hotels. Therefore, I could safely add other zones, but keep the 4 stars and know I would still be in my desired location of downtown. I increased my bid by $5 each time, and at $65 was accepted by Vintage Plaza A Kimpton Hotel. The going rate is about $130, so it was a 50% savings! I used the PRICELINE link on this site. Cheers!
