My family is going to visit Chicago from Oct 2-6. And from my travel book I found 2 museums offers free admission days. But I checked the free museum day info on museum websites and it says "FREE general admission for Illinois residents only". It means ID/driver licence will be check on the gate? so visitors cannot get the free admission? Please advice. Thanks.

Won at the 1st try. So from my previous post, a couple days ago I already won on priceline the Hyatt Regency at $82 for 10/3/11-10/5/11, so I will stay 3 nights on the same hotel. I am very happy for the result. And I wish the 3rd night the hotel staff will not ask me to change the room. FYI, I clicked the PRICELINE link in your thread to book it. Now I am looking for one more hotel for Oct 2nd, Sunday. Just arrive late and sleep in. Any south suburb is nice?

I already won 4* Chicago (Millenium-Loop-Grant Park) Hyatt Regency from Oct 3-6, now I am looking for a night stay on Sunday night Oct 2. My family is going to drive from Canada to Chicago on Oct 2, so we will be arrive late on Chicago area. My plan is to find a safe and clean hotel just to sleep in. The hotel has free parking and not too far from downtown Chicago. On the 2nd day we will check out and drive to the city. Also I hope on the 2nd day, Monday, Oct 3, there will be not much traffic on the way driving from the hotel to the city. Since we are driving from south, I consider south suburb locations. How about Oak Brook- Downers Grover? Or any other locations? Midway airport? Thanks.

$82 for 10/1-3, failed $84 and MIDWAY for 10/1-3, failed $82 for 10/3-5, won Tried to extend nights, for 10/1-10/5, failed. Now, I have to find another hotel to stay for 10/1-3 Where can I find a cheaper overnight parking near Hyatt Regency (MP/Loop) ? Thanks.
