  1. We posted at the exact same time ... I have studied the area in the past and couldn't think of it being anything else than the Sheraton??? You've stumped me on the no business center icon ... I still think it is the Sheraton.
  2. It is most likely the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass .... supposed to be absolutely amazing (unfortunately, doesn't come up cheap like other resorts through Priceline and Hotwire). The Chandler 3.5 star which comes up on Hotwire is the San Marcos...
  3. For now, it first comes down to availability... I won the Marriott Mesa only after winning all available rooms at the Hilton at $32 and $36. The Mesa Hilton might be better for you anyway as it backs onto a golf course with amazing views. Aside from that, Mesa is definitely NOT where you want to be ... there is nothing to do out there. PL Vacations shows the Buttes available for all your days BUT based on the price showing, you will NOT win it for $47 or even close ... Hotwire lists it right now for $198. When Hotwire shows it for $90-something or $60-something, it sells cheap on Priceline. My advice is to split your dates and check out PL Vacations to see which hotels come up, how much and when ... as you may have to split your stay anyway to get better deals. Mesa Hotels are cheaper on weekends and some Scottsdale hotels are cheaper during the week. Your best bet is is the Buttes or if you get lucky the 3* Sheraton Suites in Tempe .... low $40's. Tempe is the place to be!!! Or, wait a couple months for more availability to come up... The Radisson in Sedona would be great too ... low $50's and opens you to more golf options. or, even Tuscon for a couple days at the Loews, Omni or Westin for $80-something if you wait for availability. There are 3*'s in Tuscon East that sometimes go as low as $30-something. I did a couple date searches .... The Scottsdale Plaza is coming up for all dates as the lowest Scottsdale resort (probably win it in the $60's). For some dates, the Embassy Suites at the airport comes up likely in the $50's .... great value with their breakfast and evening cocktails.
  4. Fourth night was actually not free ... I used the add-a-night feature through Priceline's help section which allows you to get that same specific hotel if your price is right ... still cost the $42/night.
  5. I really wanted a convertible for this part of my honeymoon and was rejected up to $36 I have also been rejected for everything, over and over and over for the last few weeks working up from $12 for an economy. I had also been rejected for a compact before for $20. I'll try and upgrade when I get there!!! Your Offer Price: $19.00 Total Rental Days: 3 Subtotal: $57.00 Taxes & Fees: $23.40 Total Charges: $80.40
  6. Tough bidding for Hawaii... Tried for weeks from $13 ... and have been rejected in the past for a compact up to $21. Your Offer Price: $20.00 Total Rental Days: 2 Subtotal: $40.00 Taxes & Fees: $16.94 Total Charges: $56.94
  7. I've booked most cars for this weekend through Enterprise using their $9.99 weekend deal which can be combined with other discount codes to save another whole $0.50/day!!! The savings for booking away from the airport is huge in Phoenix!!! The Beta Gamma code actually saved both the $0.50 and the underage surcharge ... $33.50 for three days TOTAL!!! http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?i...&type=3&subid=0 The $9.99 deal is not available from Thursday so, I used PL instead and booked right from a winning hotel bid ... I did try $12 first and was rejected? Your Offer Price: $13.00 Total Rental Days: 4 Subtotal: $52.00 Taxes & Fees: $42.76 Total Charges: $94.76
  8. I have added 4 more rooms in the last week as guests RSVP ... this hotel has been very very good to us and I keep wondering when they will stop accepting? I have been unable to score anything in Mesa for Thursday the 27th ... but, we have some unused Thursday night rooms at Hilton so, we are having housekeeping renew the rooms for Friday-arrivals. Working out absolutely perfectly!!!
  9. Needed an additional night for a guest... I did not use the add a night feature and tried bidding $32, $36, $40 and finally $42. Your Offer Price: $42.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.57 Total Charges: $54.57
  10. Got this for some early arriving guests... I tried repeatedly for a 2.5* up to $40 for PHX, Mesa, Chandler and Tempe Finally, I had to go for the sure thing... I bid $24 and got a counter to add $6, I tried $25, $26 and hit at $28 I bid again and won another room. Your Offer Price: $28.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $84.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $18.44 Total Charges: $102.44

  13. Thanks thereuare... :) finally almost here ... my parents arrive tomorrow!!! Nervous, excited and busy ... took me 20 mins to finish this post between phone calls... I just booked a 20-seater Hummer Limo for the big day... disco floor and seating, 2 bars ... I think I will tell the driver to detour from the church and head to Vegas instead ... oh yeah, a quick pitstop to ditch the girls first... a groom can only dream :) !!!
  14. I got this for my brother and his family for after the wedding... I tried a few days ago up to $95 and was rejected for Tempe, Scottsdale and PHX North... Got it today after seeing suenster's winning post, I was about to bid $75 and remembered how cheap I am and started at $65... won on my first bid!!! Now, I am plagued with bidder's remorse , how much cheaper could it have gone? This hotel is perfect for kids... "Home of the River Ranch - a water wonderland of family fun activities, acres of cool pools, a lazy river for tubing, a winding waterslide, tennis, fitness and spa delights. Plus, our award-winning Coyote Camp - an interactive children's activities program and our new Kid's Koncierge centre." Phoenix North 7677 North 16th Street Phoenix, Arizona 85020 602-997-2626 Your Offer Price: $65.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $195.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $33.97 Total Charges: $228.97
  15. I just won this too... Funny, I tried a few days ago up to $95 and was rejected... Got it today, was about to bid $75 and remembered how cheap I am and started at $65... won on my first bid!!! Now, I am plagued with bidder's remorse :) , how much cheaper could it have gone?
  16. Does your winning bid show this as a 3* or were you upgraded to a resort? This is exactly what I am looking for from Jan 31 - Feb 3 Thanks BTW: If you have kids, you got an amazing deal plus, they are all suites!!! "Home of the River Ranch - a water wonderland of family fun activities, acres of cool pools, a lazy river for tubing, a winding waterslide, tennis, fitness and spa delights. Plus, our award-winning Coyote Camp - an interactive children's activities program and our new Kid's Koncierge centre."
  17. You really pulled that one out of a hat .... thanks for the jiffy responses.
  18. Great that you got the Hyatt in all your recent wins and NOT the pesty 3* Holiday Inn Midtown which haunts this zone!!!
  19. Got this for some relatives... Their website rates start at $89 and total with taxes $294. After failing for a 5* at $125 ... I bid for a 4* from $40 up and kept getting a Vegas-unique counter for $86 (I notice when bidding for just Vegas, they do not beat around the bush and just tell you a counter-price unlike normal counter-offers to add xx$ or the Lowest-fare.com listings). My last rejected bid was $76 before winning at $80. PL Vacations also showed this hotel as the cheapest of the strip 4*'s so I guessed I would win it. Las Vegas Strip Vicinity 3790 Las Vegas Boulevard South Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 702-740-6900 Your Offer Price: $80.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $240.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $34.29 Total Charges: $274.29
  20. Back in the PL/UK bonus days ... I booked 13 nights in small blocks at the Hilton Garden Inn Oakbrook, Il for an average of $8 a night with tax (bid 3 pounds) With a mistake on Expedia way back ... I booked the Stratosphere for a buck or two. The best best best deal which remarkably is still going has to be the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson for $37. ................................ahhhhh Priceline :) :) :o
  21. Thanks for your input ... I will indeed order the book and others, hadn't thought about it before but it would be great for the long flights and inter-island hopping. I bid for three Islands and pretty much used PL vacations to determine availablity. I should have waited longer because PL/Vac now shows the extra nights available at the Marriott and the Hilton and Prince are now available. For Waikiki, I would have spent the whole trip if I could have gotten the Renaissance for the week ... and now, it is available. My lesson for next time, bid during the last month. I will write back and add pictures... I hope I have time to tour the Hilton and Prince to know for next time. It really was a toss-up between the two.
  22. I have stayed here twice... it is designed as a boutique style hotels ... you will love the colors, headboards, vanities, Starbucks in the lobby etc. It is right across the street from the new casino (which was a mass of construction when I was last there) ... park at the casino instead of the hotel parking and get a player's club card which makes parking free. Also, visit the restaurant on the top floor ... amazing views. They have one of the largest indoor pools in Niagara!!!
  23. Has anyone had a problem using there own credit card's insurance coverage on a Priceline reservation? The reason I am curious is because, Priceline does not provide the rental company with our CC info ... and by just presenting the CC at check-in to get swiped, does that automatically cover us? I called the 1-800's for AVIS and Budget about this and from both, I got the .... "hmmmm interesting question, I am not sure, you'll have to call the location directly". I than called the counter at PHX and the person said "it seems like it should"....?????
  24. Not sure what it is ... but the price has now dropped down to $79. Hotwire's prices jump around all the time. I would also call the hotel's directly as they offer their own amazingly low packages during the winter. Travelzoo has the Marriott and Embassy Suites hotels on special ... My best advice.... Priceline might give you the 4* Renaissance Fallsview for a bid of $40.
