  1. Just added one more room ... I tried for four rooms first, than just one which I won ... than, thinking, maybe they can squeeze out just one more .... declined. I now have 9 rooms here ... still hope to score 12 ... so, I can keep my whole in-laws side together. Your Offer Price: $32.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $128.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $24.58 Total Charges: $152.58
  2. great question ... I never share reviews, because it is a mood-spoiler ... except in a case where they should specify something like a rennovated room or "ask for the north tower" etc. Also, depending on how well I know them. Here, I don't know them too well and they will assume it is great based on the Hilton name and curse the hotel (and me a little) later.
  3. ooops, sorry, first bid was $40 for the zone... I didn't try nickel and diming like I usually do, just jumped up to $45. The family I was bidding for are all doctors ... I save my frugal bidding strategies for those who need the extra dollar here and there like ME :)
  4. I'll piggy-back onto this post... I need to book the Hyatt for very similar dates Dec 28-Jan 2. NinthElegy, I am watching your bidding closesly to see how things progress. I'll start bidding in a day or two. On hotwire, per each night, I am getting... Dec 28 $153 Dec 29 $ 94 Dec 30 $ 94 Dec 31 $241 Jan 1 $64 for all five nights, $84 which is a steal considering individual prices!!!
  5. Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/index.j...ctyhocn=GAIGHHF I got this for a friend's parents ... Reviews are horrible for this hotel ... the savings however, should make up for it. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g4...g_Maryland.html I had tried the Virginia burbs, and DC metro first before bidding on MD. Prior rejected bid for this zone was $50. Zone: Gaithersburg - Rockville 620 Perry Parkway Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 301-977-8900 Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $21.57 Total Charges: $131.57
  6. Here is what it says... I normally change names ... however, I decided to test the waters a little. There was NO way to go past this screen and it wasn't that friendly reminder about already having a reservation. "Our records indicate that you already have two reservations for the same requested itinerary. For your protection and security, this is the maximum number of reservations that priceline will allow for the same itinerary. Enjoy your stay!" I also tried again under a new account, different credit card and name ... this time at $30 and got a counter offer for $38. I than bid all the way up to $40 and never won. This happened to me a few years ago when trying to add a room at the HGI-Oakbrook. I tried a week later and won. Hopefully, with this counter-offer, my chances for more rooms look good.
  7. Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/sea...l?propertyID=90 Got this for my friend's parents... exact zone they wanted. I checked PL vacations first to see what was coming up ... this hotel was the cheapest in the zone and priced second overall for DC!!! Now, I need to add a single room for 2 extra nights Dec 1-3. I already failed in this zone up to $50. Alexandria - Mt. Vernon 801 N Saint Asaph Street Alexandria, Virginia 22314 703-836-4700 Your Offer Price: $45.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $180.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $34.06 Total Charges: $214.06
  8. Thanks thereuare I have to change the name each time ... PL catch's my bids stating something like... I already have a reservation on this date and can NOT place another one? This was my first bid for this zone. PL vacations price led me to think it would take over $45 ... so, $32 was just taking a chance.
  9. Our prayers and best wishes are with you thereuare, and just let us know (as soon as u can) when to light up a celebratory cigar!!! :)
  10. I've been checking PL vacations regularily to see prices/availability and I noticed this hotel showing up tonight for the first time. My first bid of $32/4 rooms was accepted followed by another 4 rooms ... however, I couldn't get anymore. I need about 25 rooms for wedding guests. I had originally booked 16 rooms at a 2* Homestead however cancelled them after learning they do not clean the rooms daily... Priceline Cancellation Zone: Mesa 1011 West Holmes Avenue Mesa, Arizona 85210 480-833-5555 Your Offer Price: $32.00 Number of Rooms: 4 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $512.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $78.16 Total Charges: $590.16
  11. Enjoy your trip... if you get a chance, be sure to drive up MT. Lemon (<sp?). We made it up only 4,000 feet before my fiance started getting too nervous (me a little too :) ). We passed a sign saying it was another 21 miles to the top (10,000 feet) so we turned back.
  12. I just checked, no 3* in north zone .. and the airport is a true rebid with no 3*... I could have been upgraded to a resort which would have been great however, I already tested the waters with bids up to $45 my limit.
  13. Actually, there are two usable rebids (however both zones offer 1*, 2*, resort)... North Tucson, La Paloma I bid the resort zones up to $45, than.... 3* east $33 3* east/north $35 3* east/La Paloma $36 2.5* airport 2.5* $25 2.5* airport/east 2.5* $27 2.5* airport/La Paloma/east $30 3* central $30 3* airport/north $35 3* east/La Paloma/north $37 3* east/La Paloma/north/airport $38
  14. It was free... went to visit the banquet halls and the salesperson, offered my dad and I lunch :)
  15. Just got this for a friend... first bid for the airport. I had tried downtown up to $70 4* and $60 3*. http://marriott.com/property/propertyPage/YYZTA I have eaten lunch here before ... it is brand new inside and luxurious. Toronto Airport (YYZ) 801 Dixon Road Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 1J5 416-675-6100 Your Offer Price: $36.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $72.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $14.18 (US dollars) Total Charges: $86.18 (US dollars)
  16. http://www.starwood.com/sheraton/search/ho...?propertyID=177 A quick much needed one night romantic get-away!!! I first bid $33 and got a counter to add $9. Than, tried, $35, $36, $37 .... and hit at $38. I was amazed to win this over other zone hotels. Reviews are excellent ... this hotel offers a free hot breakfast buffet?!? TripAdvisor Reviews (some of the reviews are mixed up and are actually, for the 4-points in central Tucson) Tucson East 5151 East Grant Road Tucson, Arizona 85712 520-323-6262 Your Offer Price: $38.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $38.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.60 Total Charges: $49.60

  18. jlaurone .... I could kiss you ... thank you so much for mentioning Luxury Link ... their prices are out of this world. My travel dates are Jan 31 to Feb 7 .... and they have the Fairmont Acapulco Princess listed for only $109/night .... (after a 2 nights free promo). Cheapest on all other sites ... is $239/night. I am finding it risky to use PL or Hotwire for my honeymoon so Luxurylink may be the golden ticket!!! :) So far, it's a toss up between Hawaii (she wants) or Mexico (I want). I already crushed her hopes of going to Bora Bora!!!
  19. I have booked this hotel three times for myself and friends, getting two beds is absolutely no problem ... getting a one-king room however is. In your case, I am almost certain you will have no problem. Also, I have never had a problem where they asked how many guests, or tried to charge for more at any PL-booked hotel ever.
  20. A friend of mine is going there and I was hoping for some pointers in the right direction. Thanks :)
  21. Ahhhhhh teased again by the chicken parm :) ... sounds like its almost worth an 80 hour trip. Still searching for something great here in PHX ... so far, nothing???
  22. I noticed this too ... if you do a Priceline vacations search, it now lists the hotel as 3*.
  23. CheshireCat, you may also want to consider the mistake made by priceline in this thread ... puts you very close to San Fran and it is available for 2-4 nights in April. PRICELINE DEAL
