  1. Here is the update. I found rate $102 for 3* in Boston Common - Theater District Area in PRICELINE EXPRESS with only amenities shown: Free internet. After some research (thanks mostly to this site) I was fairly convinced it matches Courtyard by Marriott Downtown and decided to try PRICELINE Bidding options. Started at $90 and was presented a counter offer of $104, rejected it and added another 3* area (Cambridge) and raised to $92 and got it. It's was indeed Courtyard by Marriott Downtown with $328 total for 3 days. This hotel is listed as possible for 3* in Priceline list (none supplied by user) so now consider it supplied :). This is an old historic building in great area which was fully renovated lately. Rooms are on smaller side, however we didn't care. Thanks so much to this forum, very happy with my win! I Should I post it to Priceline section as well?
  2. Probably... Frankly I hoped for Westin, but Sheraton is a good choice as well. I will make reservation tomorrow using the board HOTWIRE link and update this thread with the results.
  3. Please help me identify this hotel for 04/06 - 04/09. It shown $134 and here is the list of amenities: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Thanks for all your help! Boston has become so expensive lately....
  4. It was indeed the Doubletree (4*) as expected, 2 nights $63, 154.99 total. Thanks to everyone who helped me with this deal. Used the HOTWIRE link, of course.
  5. Thanks to everyone for your help. Tomorrow I will know for sure if I need 1 or 2 night stay. Needless to say, I will make my reservation using this board supporting links. If I do with the Doubletree, how easy/difficult to get from the hotel to Chicago Lincoln Park/Downtown area using train or other means of public transportation?
  6. You guys are absolutely right, I used BiddingHelper.com and all amenities are listed exactly just like AronJB described. I just can't believe Hotwire is listing Doubletree as 4* hotel. BTW, if you look at 3* description, Doubletree brand is shown as an example of 3*. Is one in Skokie that good? Thank you
  7. I think I listed them all. Nothing else is listed. You still think it's Doubletree? 4*? Evanston would be my preferable area due to proximity to Northwestern University.
  8. This is the first time I see 4* in that area. My dates are checking in on 02/27/2015 for 1 night. Hotel price shows $65 - 36% off. Complimentary: Free Parking and Free Internet Full Amenities: Indoor Pool(s), Fitness Center, Pools, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self Service Laundry Hilton Orrington Evanston is the only 4* I know in this area, however it charges $22 for parking... Thank you for all your help.
  9. I had to make a reservation for 4 rooms in Dublin. First bid $40 was rejected, added another zone (Columbus has 2 zones without 2.5*) and raised the bid to $41. Accepted at Amerisuites Dublin (total around $50 per room with taxes and fees).
  10. I had to get 6! rooms in Nashville, so it took 2 biddings (3 rooms at the time). Last time 2 month ago I bid $35 for 2.5* and got upgrade to this property. This time I just repeated this scenario. Bid $35 was rejected, added another zone and raised my bid by $1. The hotel just finished $4 million renovation and looks very nice.
  11. I used HotelClub for my 2002 trip to Paris. It worked just fine, no major (and minor) surprizes.... Next time I will use Priceline.
  12. Add me to the Honor list as well. I was accused of not abiding by Priceline rules (we did not have 3 days and after i was rejected i had my wife bid with her profile, which is completely separate). OK, I still wish TOBB the best of luck, however from now on will post to this forum. I also was stupid enough to donate $10 to donate to TOBB toward the hosting fee before I was banned. How ironic....
  13. I needed a hotel for my friends out of town. In east end of Louisville 3* pretty much means Marriott or Embassy Suites with at least 4 free rebids. Started at $42 and got an offer to add $12 more. Ignored it and by adding free zones went to $44 an than $45. Third time was a charm. Not to bad for a 2 room suite with free full breakfast. BTW, this is my first post to this forum. I used to post at TOBB until I was banned......
