  1. The property I listed now has "Recommended by 95% of Hotwire users" attached. Not sure if this helps identify it any better.
  2. Unfortunately, I did not find a hotel that worked for me using Hotwire or Priceline for this trip. I ended up booking directly with a hotel and it ended up working out fine. This thread was a great help in my search, though.
  3. Hi there, I'm looking for a hotel near Wallingford, CT for the night of November 19. As always, I used this site to begin my search. On Hotwire for that date, it shows a 2* hotel in the Meriden-Berlin area for $37. The amenities listed are: Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access. There are no reviews for the hotel, and it is not listed here on the site. I have found this to be the case with many of the hotels in the area. Hopefully someone can help.
  4. Hi there, I need help identifying a 3* hotel in the Fort Lee-Hackensack zone. The price is $80 a night for the nights of 9/16-9/18. The amenities listed are: Smoke Free Rooms, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Business Center, Pool, and High Speed Internet Access. It seems to match up with the Hyatt Place listing here on the site. Would this be the Hyatt Place in Fair Lawn/Paramus or Secaucus/Meadowlands? Thanks for the help!
  5. Also, my friend and I are not opposed to driving to Randall's Island for the event each day, so anything within a 20 minute drive or so is ok as well.
  6. Hi there! This site was very helpful in finding a hotel a few weekends ago. Unfortunately, the event I needed the hotel for was rescheduled. The rescheduled dates are September 16th, 17th, and 18th. The event was moved to Randall's Island. I'm not very familiar with the area, so I'm not sure where to bid, or for how much. I would need a room for the 16th and 17th, as I'll be driving back to Massachusetts after the event ends on the 18th. My budget is $125 a night. Star level is not a big issue. Thanks for any help.
  7. Had to cancel the hotel reservation because of the hurricane and my event being postponed. I'll be looking for a similar hotel or a hotel within the confines of Jersey City for the dates of 9/17 and 9/18.
  8. Thanks a ton for the info. I'm guessing they'll jack up the price at Liberty Landing for the event. I'm assuming they'll have it open until everyone gets back from the shows, but I'll give them a call on Monday just to be sure.
  9. Their shuttle runs until 11:45, so it would be cutting it reallllly close. The Jersey City ferry is leaving from Liberty Landing Marina. Not sure if you or anyone knows of places around there for reasonable rates.
  10. Would it be cheaper for me to park at Secaucus Junction and take some trains to/from Manhattan or Jersey City? It looks like it might be, most of the daily rates I've seen in Jersey City are roughly $20.
  11. Yes it is. The concerts I'm going to will be over at 10:30-11 each night, but they are on Governors Island. Not sure how long it will take to get off the island, but supposedly they'll have extra ferries for the concerts. I'm just weighing my options for parking/transportation.
  12. Anyone know of any decent parking deals in Jersey City? I'm headed to the area in a couple weeks, and was thinking about leaving my car in Jersey City for the day while I'm in NYC.
  13. No problem, thanks for all the help! Question though, do you know how long the trains in Seacaucus run? Is it a PATH train that runs 24/7?
  14. The amenities listed were: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby
  15. Just booked the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel and Conference Center for $79 a night through the HOTWIRE link on this site! Dates are August 26th-28th.
  16. Used the PRICELINE links from the site. Bid up to $122, still got denied.
  17. 2* Hoboken-Jersey City Hotel amenities listed are complimentary breakfast and high speed internet. Recommended by 65% of users in customer reviews, and the price is $81 per night.
  18. I have used that link for my prior bids. It brings me to the Priceline home page (hopefully that's where it's supposed to go haha)
  19. Do accepted bids typically drop in price closer to the check-in date?
  20. Increased my bid to $119 this morning, still no dice. I might settle and get the Hilton Newark Penn Station, then take the PATH train to Jersey City or right to World Trade Center.
  21. Bid up to $110 this morning, denied each time. May try to go a bit higher tomorrow. I'll look into other options if this doesn't work out. I can go as high as $300 total for both nights (after taxes and fees) for an accepted bid, so I'll keep at it tomorrow.
  22. Yeah that's what I'm starting to figure. Any idea what it would take for an accepted bid at the 3* level? The Priceline "See Real Winning Bids!" page says $102, but I've heard it can typically be lower than what they list.
  23. Would adding a re-bid zone and trying again for 4* at a higher bid be smart? I noticed some of the re-bid zones for this area don't have 4* hotels.
  24. Tried 4* $80: denied Re-bid at 3 1/2* $85 Re-bid at 3* $85 Re-bid at 2 1/2* $86 Re-bid at 2* $87
