  1. I used the biddinghelper tool to find a room 12/23 - 12/28 for 5* Times Square South and found: $299 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access Any ideas?
  2. Hotwire said this was a four. The BB site has it as a 3.5. Used the Bidding.Helper which reported the following amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking Reviews for the Paramount are all over the place. Some love it. Some say it isn't clean. But, I don't understand the ones that ding it for the restaurant. Are you really going to eat at your hotel in NYC? Plan to use my savings to eat Nova at Russ and Daughters and Barney Greengrass.
  3. I tried to use BiddingHelper to search for hotels in Manhattan, NYC but it doesn't have a suggestion for it. It does for Brooklyn. What do I type?
  4. Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurants Business Center High-Speed Internet Used BetterBidding link to book on HOTWIRE.
  5. Booked through BetterBidding link to HOTWIRE. 9/14 to 9/16 $81 Per Night Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry Best Value Customer Favorite
  6. Went through Savingsbarn.com 4/6 - 4/10 Description for Hotel in Burbank-Universal City 3.5 Star Restaurants Pool Fitness Center Business Center Customer Favorite Better Bidding List Correct. Got room for $145 a night. This was $11 less than the conference rate and $41 less than Starwood.com. Thanks.
  7. I actually had a good stay here. The room looked worn out, but it was clean. The only complaint I had was the added fee for the Free Internet in the lobby among other stuff. But today, I got this message from Hotwire. "We periodically review our representation of our hotel partners' star ratings. After receiving feedback from you and other guests, we have decided to adjust the star rating to 2 stars. While we are confident in the quality of all our hotel partners, the new rating more accurately reflects the service level, accommodations and facilities of this property." They gave me 100 hot Dollars.
  8. Finished my stay at the North Austin Plaza Hotel and Suites. It's clean. It works. And, they now claim AAA 3 Diamond status. They do charge a $2.50 a night amenity fee for the free HBO, the pool and the free wireless Internet in the lobby. Some rooms have free high speed Internet. Mine didn't. The room is clean but without any art on the walls. The pillows aren't that great but I brought my own (nice to drive instead of fly). Furniture is old and chipped. You do get a coffee maker with coffee, an ironing board with iron and a hair dryer again for the $2.50/night fee. The Hotwire price was a great deal. Some people who were stuck at the youth hostel tried to get in. The rate had risen to $90 a night.
  9. Reservations for 10/19/2005 Through 10/23/2005 $34/Night North Austin Plaza Hotel & Suites 6911 N. I-35 Austin, Texas 78752 (512) 617-4900 Hotwire Info 2.5* North Austin Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities Clicked through Savingsbarn.com
  10. What I decided to do was book the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel through Expedia.com. 7/29 & 7/30 $126.75/night 7/31 $111.75/night This is for a Deluxe Traditional Room. The conference I'm attending is at Hollywood and Highland. Their parking rate is $15/day. If the 3* on Hotwire was the Chamberlain West Hollywood, their parking rate is $20/day. So, I'd have to pay for parking twice. This way, I only have to pay $18/day at the Roosevelt and can walk to H & H.
  11. I'm traveling to LA from 7/29 until 8/1. Hotwire found in Hollywood/W. Hollywood a best value of $81/night for a 3* with these amenties: Comp. Breakfast, Pool, Fitness Center, Hi Speed Internet and Laundry Facilities. In another post, you thought this might be the Chamberland West Hollywood. Do you think this is true in this case? Also, do you know of anyone who's stayed there?
