    Tried bid of $40 for downtown 3* hotel using PRICELINE link. Didn't work so I added Midtown-Uptown and had the bid of $40 accepted -- the Radisson, presumably the same place many other posters here have stayed at.

    First bid at this star level; I probably overbid. Had tried through $45 at 3-star level with no luck.
