  1. Needed an extra night for next week after a couple nights at Marine Memorial Club. Amenities: Free internet, Fitness center, Self service laundry, Golf nearby, Non smoking rooms, Restaurant(s), Internet access. Used HOTWIRE link on this site.
  2. Saw Express deal @ $17/nite, so bid $14...rejected...said bid too low. Rebid at $15 and got this property. Used PRICELINE link on this site. Thanks.
  3. PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE were about the same price, so went with Hotwire. Amenities: Pet friendly, pool, fitness center, business center, restaurant(s), Internet, accessible path of travel, in room accessibility, accessible bathroom, roll-in shower. Thanks.
  4. One night in The City after a San Diego trip. Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Internet, Business Center, Pet Friendly, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, In-room accessibility. Used Hotwire link on this site. Thanks.
  5. Had room booked through Omni for $199. The 9+ rating gave it away. Went thru PRICELINE EXPRESS link on Betterbidding.com. Said my $30 discount had already been used. Thanks
  6. Started bidding at $85 for 3* in Uptown area. Took a couple of rounds of bidding, but got this Sheraton for $109. Cheapest available rate is $129. ]Used PRICELINE link on this site.
  7. BART is used to get from outlying areas into the city. In San Francisco proper, MUNI is the public transportation option. You can get a 1,3,7 day MUNI visitor pass that allows for unlimited rides of cable cars, buses, F-line trolley, and MUNI subway
  8. Took a chance it would be the Francis Marion just by the Spa amenity. Full amenities: free internet, restaurant, business center, fitness center, internet access, spa services, accessible for hearing impaired, accessible for visual impaired, accessible path of travel, in room accessibility, accessible bathroom, accessible parking, roll in shower.
  9. Going to give NY another try. Saw previous win for this property so gave it a shot. Amenities: Free internet, restaurant(s), internet access. Used Hotwire link on this site.
  10. Needed to add a night to the beginning of this weekend trip. Hotwire had a Thanksgiving Sale, so picked up this deal. Amenities are as shown in Hotel Lists, but the laundry gave it away. Used Hotwire link on this site. Thanks.
  11. Rates are high in the Financial District, so opted for the sure thing...Hilton Union Square (USW). Amenities as listed on hotel list. Used the HOTWIRE link on this site to book. Thabks.
  12. $116 should be enough to bid on Price.line, but no guarantees you won't get the Hilton again.
  13. If it was me, I would book the Hyatt Embarcadero on Lastminutetravel.com Club for $216/nite, $261 all in....cancellable three days before check in date. Then you could take your time bidding on Price.line or checking out Hot.wire, Expe.dia, etc.
  14. Omni has no availability so went to the hotel closest to the new Eddie V's Bar and Restaurant. Amenities: Pet Friendly, Pool(s), internet, business center, restaurants, tennis nearby, gold nearby, Spa Services, accessible deaf, access blind, accessible path of travel, accessible bathroom, wheelchair accessible, in room accessibility, handicapped parking, roll in shower. 15. Opted out of the New York trip, so decided San Francisco was a good replacement. Omni San Francisco for $197/nite. Used PRICELINE link on this site.
  16. Wife wants to head down this afternoon to avoid any road closures tomorrow morning. We are headed to San Francisco first thing in the AM. Started bidding at $45, rebid at $49, rebid at $52...got Hyatt Place. PRICELINE EXPRESS had same hotel for $58...HOTWIRE had it for $66. Thanks
  17. I did see the above mentioned property again over the weekend, and I agree it is probably the Doubletree Metropolitan. However, seeing as the governor of the state of New York has said me and my family are not welcome in his state, we are looking for alternate destinations for this trip. It's a big country, and we can find another destination that is more inclusive to all Americans.
  18. The distance between MTE and MTW/TS is negligible either walking or public transportation. The Marriott is a couple blocks from Grand Central, a major hub for subway and buses. The Marriott Eastside is a fine property...I've stayed there before, and would recommend it to anyone venturing to NY. The Lastminutetravel.com website doesn't always show properties, but the Club side does. As I said before, you can just call them and ask for the Club price. You already said you were planning on getting insurance, as useful/useless it might be, but it sure is nice not to tie up an uncancellable reservation to a trip. The LMT booking is cancelllable up to three days before checkin, and you can keep bidding in the mean time. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
  19. If I'm out of line here, I'm sure Thereuare will let me know. Why not book the Marriott Eastside for $133/nite for your dates via Lastminutetravel.com Club. If you are not a Club member, just call and they will give you the Club price. The booking is cancellable up to 3 days prior to checkin, and you can keep bidding lower on Priceline and see if you get lucky. Good luck.
  20. Don't see it now. Currently the 4* offering appears to be the Roosevelt...70% rating.
