I had tried to bid for 3* to get a room in downtown Nashville last thursday night and tried until run out of all rebid zone at $40. Gave up and waited for 72 hours. Tonight, I tried again with 2.5* -the starting price at $35 with the zone of Downtown-Vanderbilt university and Antioch-Smyrna. Rejected. Got an offer to increase the price by $9 and be able to rebid the same zone. I ignored it. -increase the price to $38, add South Nashville, rejected. -increase the price to $40, add North Nashville, rejected. -increase the price to $42, add West Nashville, accepted. I was upgraded to 3* hotel at doubletree in downtown. This is not a bad deal at all, double tree website quoted around $115. I think they are definitely much more stricted about using the same card more than one time now. They processing time is much slower too. Anyway, today I got a rebate back from them after a long wait. Booked a hotel room on 6/10. Sent in the form on 6/15. Waited the whole month of July and beginning of August, no sign that they receive it. I think I will lose it because I did not have the copy for my submission. Finally, today, get the email from them that the rebate has been processed and I will receive my $30 back. Total processing time = 7-8 weeks. I used a new card that I never used before with the original form from Entertainment Book. I would suggest everyone to strict with the card that never be used for the rebate before. For whoever has been rejected because of reusing the same card, I would suggest you to file a complaint with BBB. You can look at my post on previous few pages of this topic. They will not give you the refund. You will get the $30 credit back to your account for a next booking. I think it's still better than completely lose it.

My friend placed a bid for this hotel. This is how he bidded: -He started with 3 zones at $40 (Alexandia/Mt vernon, Arlington, Convention center). Rejected (I know he should not started with too many zones.) -Added Georgetown and raised to $45. Rejected. -Added Whitehouse and raised to $50. Rejected. -Added Springfied (as a free re-bid) and raised to $55. Accepted. This works out pretty well. This is for Sheraton National at 900 South Orme Street Arlington, Virginia 22204. The price on sheraton website is $209. Expedia asked for $209. This is definitely incredible deal!

I could not find any box to enter the coupon code too. I think hotwire probably does not have any coupon code any more, maybe.

I have to walk my friend over phone for bidding on this room. A bit time consuming. But I think it works out good for them. -Lowest Rate at Hotwire.com is $68. Should be Holiday Inn (from amenities). -Started with 3* Providence downtown and warwick at $45. Rejected. -Added East Providence and raised the bid to $50. Rejected. -Finally, try the last shot (will take hotwire if rejected). Raised the bid to $55. Bingo. Accepted So, I believe this should be the lowest price. I think it's not a bad deal for few days to go and saturday night. Thanks for your hotel list that helps me for bidding. :)

Here is their response I get from BBB complaint: I think I will take it. Too much of a trouble for flighting to get my $30. Better than nothing, I guess.

I booked 2 hotwire reservation and got one rejected. When I complained that the limit is one per reservation, they reply me with this email message: Thank you for contacting us regarding your rebate status in conjunction with Hotwire Itinerary Number xxxxxxxx. Although not specifically stated, it is Hotwire policy that an Entertainment Book rebate coupon may be applied to only one purchase. It is explicitly stated that Hotwire's decision shall be final in all matters relating to this rebate. As a result, we are unable to provide you with the requested rebate.
