  1. Amenities: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Slopeside, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center,Pool(s), Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services Note: Additional $30/day resort fee collected separately at check-in. The Osprey was the most likely result based on past wins, so I was happy to win this. At least Hotwire does mention the resort fee before checkout, though it would be nice to have that included in in the price list. All the third-party sites show the same fee.
  2. My wife and kids were having so much fun at the Mall of America that they wanted to stay another night, so I tried for the same hotel again and got it. Amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access, Golf nearby. Same amenities as last night, so I was pretty certain it was the same hotel, which they loved. It's just down the street from the mall. Thank you again to the site admins and all who contribute here. It has given me the confidence to try great deals on Hotwire, and we have never been disappointed. I hope my contributions help others too. As always, I used the HOTWIRE link from this board to start my search. I don't even have Hotwire or Priceline in my favorites - only this forum.
  3. I got this for my wife and kids on their trip to Minnesota to visit my aunt, and then on to the Mall of America. Amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access, Golf nearby They said it was probably the nicest hotel they've stayed in, which is saying a lot for a 3.5 star in a touristy-airport area.
  4. I found this hotel using the hotel list on this site. Of course I used the board HOTWIRE link and saved an extra $15 too! The member rate on the Choice site was $112, so this was a significant savings. We don't have a review yet because the stay is coming up tomorrow night. The Hotwire reviews show a 4.5 rating with 95% recommended, and my family loves Comfort Suites, so I don't think we can go wrong. Amenities: Free breakfast, Free parking, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access. Thanks to everyone who contributes here.
  5. Nice property convenient to I-95 and I-295 on the south side of Jacksonville. Total after taxes and fees was $72.99. Amenities listed are: Free Parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower I didn't see this on the Jacksonville list so I was expecting the Radisson, but this worked out fine, especially for the price. Of course I always start my searches from the forum. It has been such a great resource for finding hotel deals.
  6. Nice clean hotel near the Richmond airport. Total price after taxes and fees was $75.47. The hotel had updated décor and nice amenities. We ended up with an accessible room, which was okay because it was larger than the regular room. The tub had pump dispensers mounted for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which we liked because it meant no messing around with little bottles. Only double beds are available in the double rooms - no queens. The mattresses were on the firm side, but not uncomfortable. We were very happy with this win - great deal in a great location for our travel for about half the price of a comparable hotel on a Saturday night. Amenities listed are: Free Parking Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  7. Started at $96, went to $99, accepted at $101. Hotel was good, but not really any nicer than most 3 star hotels I've stayed in. I was offered free internet when I checked in because I am Starwood Gold, but then they charged my cc anyway. I had a lot of trouble getting them to refund the charges, but they finally did after I emailed the general manager. Very easy to target on PRICELINE as it is currently the only 4* hotel in Mt. Laurel.
  8. I'm traveling to Philadelphia Nov. 6-8 for a convention. Right now Hotwire is showing a 3.5* in the City Center West - University area for $86. The amenities are: indoor pool, smoke-free rooms, fitness center, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet access, accessible for the blind, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, handicapped parking. Am I correct in guessing this is the Sheraton City Center? If so, I can get a better deal through the Last Minute Travel club - $73 with no guessing. Am I also correct in assuming that the accessible amenities mean they are available, not that I would necessarily be given a room with them? It appears that Hotwire is adding accessible amenities to all of their listings. I already have a reservation at the Club Quarters Philadelphia for those dates that I will cancel if I find a better deal. My company is a CQ member so the rate there is $139 for the small room. Given that something around that price would be my ceiling, would I be better off trying for a 4* on Priceline? This board has been such a great help. I always start my searches using the links. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the info, but your thread title says "$0." What was the price you got?
  10. Xtreme, thank you for posting this information. I've been watching this deal as I am going to be in Norcross in two weeks and I also assumed that it was the Hyatt Place. There are mixed reviews of the Ramada on TripAdvisor, but the most recent ones have been good, so maybe it will be okay for you.
  11. Has anyone else been having problems getting to LMT? I've been trying for over a week using both Firefox and IE and I can never get the site to load. Are they still active?
  12. This is an awesome method for researching hotels. Has anyone else had much experience with using LMT? Were you able to get the room you wanted? I'd like to use them because of knowing which hotel you're getting, but I don't want to get stuck in a smoking room like other horror stories I've heard. I didn't see anywhere to specify smoking/nonsmoking in the booking process.
