Last minute solo Disneyland trip so I don't want to stay further down s harbor than homewood suites. I'd like to be on s harbor if at all possible. Budget $85/night + fees. Also, don't know if I should take my chances with actual bidding. Or use Hotwire. Thanks in advance for your assistance. This is the hotel we guessed it was. We are happy with it. We need the suite for our bed situation. The hotel was out of the room block rate for comicon. Amenities: Free breakfast, Condo, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. By the way. The zone listed on this posting is incorrect. It was similar but I'm certain it didn't say retail district.

Free internet, free breakfast, business center and more. All suites hotel I didn't see this city zone listed on the Hotwire hotel list.

I don't know if the Columbus Day holiday could be making things more crowded on these dates? I wanted to add that the NY Comicon in the Javits Center is Oct 9-12. We would like to attend some of their events. We would like to cross the Brooklyn Bridge & do some sight seeing near the water. I'd be happy to stay in Brooklyn if it got us a better hotel. But maybe through Hot.wire, since I don't want to stay too far from the bridge. We'll probably look around the times square area a little. But not too keen on staying where there is hustle & bustle. We'd like to see some of the sights around Central Park. Zone's we're for sure willing to bid in: Central Park South Empire State Building Upper West Side Maybe midtown west If you have other zones you'd recommend that are close to the items we want to do above we are open to suggestions.

10/8-14 are 90% sure our dates. 2 rooms 2 people in each.

We are traveling to NYC in early October 2014. We are willing to pay $200/night including tax. We do not know the number of travelers in our group. We may need 2 rooms. We have not decided the zones we will be willing to stay in. We're doing general site seeing. This is our first trip there. When should we attempt bidding to get the highest star room available in our budget? What star room do you think we could win in our budget?

I decided to go with the 3* PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal, which includes breakfast, rather than pay $10 less for a 3.5-4* Priceline Deal. It's the La Quinta Inn LAX. I am reading good reviews on tripadvisor so that makes me happy. :)

This hotel has a DL resort shuttle that's included in the $14/ night resort fee. That would also include parking. I forgot to think about the 3* hotels in the area charging the resort fee. Now I'm even more bummed! :) I found a prepurchase rate at the quality inn, which is in walking distance to dlr for $96 including fees. BTW our total win, including 5% discount on Priceline was 252.90

I'm not too excited about this win as it's not in walking distance and higher than I wanted to pay. Also, we still have to find a room for 5/18! We tried adding at the same price but a room was not available. I noticed several of the hotels were booked this date that's why I changed our dates. So I'm moderately happy with this win. :)

Looking for a hotel near Knott's Berry Farm 11/9/13. Thought I'd try early just to see if they expect overstock. I wasn't logged in but searched through the links above for both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE. Here are my failed bids: Cerritos 3.5* 48 Anaheim Hills 50 Buena Park 52 Cypress 54 Laguna Beach 56 Lake Forest 58 N Huntington 60 San Clemente 62 Seal Beach 64 With fees it was up to $77 per night on the last bid. I'm not too disappointed by not winning. I'll be back to try again in a few months. :) I was going to go for what appeared to be the Anaheim Marriott Suites for $76 on Hotwire but with fees it was $100 and parking was $24. Too high for me.

I've never been charged more by a hotel in Anaheim that was won on PRICELINE. We had up to 4 guests in each room. The only thing is that they can't guarantee you double beds. You might be stuck in a King. I guess at that point if they have a rollaway they may charge you for that. We called again to the hotel we stayed in a requested double beds, which they couldn't guarantee but ended up having! I'm jealous of your win. I wanted to stay at the Red Lion. If you walk into Disneyland's Toy Story parking lot you can ride their free bus shuttle to the park.

I had a reservation at Red Lion for $75.65 a night plus 17% tax and $15 a night fees. The total would be, without the $15 a night fee, $796.59. I was looking forward to trying this hotel as it was within walking distance. However, due to some unexpected expenses we're looking for any way to decrease costs! I've stayed at this particular Doubletree at least twice and we like it. The floor is sticky if I recall (I wrote a review) but maybe it's improved! My first bid was $60 in 3.5 zone. After this I received an automatic rebid offer of $71. I declined it, added a zone and upped it to $61. Declined. Added a zone and increased offer to $62 and it was accepted! Total for this stay will be $643.14 a savings of $153.45. The doubletree itself is being offered on their website at $95 a night prepay with double beds. Parking at Doubletree is $13 per night. The taxes are lower in this "county" also! We're happy with our win!
