After bidding unsuccessfully over several days for a 3.5 or 4 star property in USE (bids up to $130), I decided to try my luck in the Financial District-Embarcadero. $105 was my first bid (now wondering if I should have started lower). Three nights at $105 + taxes ($59.61) totalled $374.61. Le Meridien is ranked #25 of 242 hotels in SF on tripadvisor which sounds promising.
