Hii!! you're so lucky! I am fairly new, and have only used this "betterbidding" method in vegas hotels, so I am not quite sure about which locations in san diego have which star rating hotels. I was wondering, how were you able to find out "non-3.5" areas? thank you for any help and advice!

in october of 2010 my bf and i attempted the 20 dollar trick at TI. I told my bf to do the sandwich but he chickened out, and just handed the man his two cards. He then held on to his wallet in the man's sight, playing aroudn with a 20 dollar bill peeking out of the wallet. we asked if there were any complimentary upgrades, and he gave us the top floor of TI which had taller ceilings and a more private floor seeing that you had to put in your room key to access that top floor. so it was worth it. we gave the man our 20 dollar bill as we were leaving and just said thangs ;D im heading out to vegas again on June 8, and am staying at vdara. I really want an upgrade.....so we probaby will try it. Has anyone tried it out at vdara? any tips? and how have you checked in early? is there ever an instance where you hand them the 20 dollar bill sandwich and ask for an early check in or "complimentary upgrade" and they for somereason CANT do anything extra for you? haha taht would be a waste....but i guess that's what vegas is? a gamble? ;D haha i would love to hear more :) thanks -T

and i just realized i didnt write the title of the post in the same fashion as the others. i should have wrote "5* Las VEgas (strip south) Vdara" with a second line saying it was $80 for 6/8-6/10....SORRRY .... *nooob. sorry! trying to figure out how to change that .. . .. ...

We were originally going to book it 6/8-6/11 but we got our bid up to $100, after doing the priceline trick 5 times( adding different zones and keeping with our 5*), and figured maybe itd be better to book the first two days at a 5* and the last friday/saturday night at a 4* so we ended up getting it for $80 for 6/8-6/10 for vdara! pretty excited even though i initially wanted cosmopolitan! :) thanks better bidding. com will update more on what i get for the rest of the weekend!

anything less than 180, which is what we're willing to pay for a hotel from the hotel website. I know theres no way to guarantee cosmopolitan, but i was just wondering if there was anyone who acutally won it! :) thanks for your help though! ill just do the 5* south strip! :)

Hi all, i am brand brand new to bidding on priceline and im brand new to this website and im so thankful to find this site!! i am hoping for cosmopolitan hotel out of the three possible 5* hotels on the south strip but vdara and aria are acceptable too! i really dont know if this is possible...but has anyone figured out how to distinguish the cosmopolitan from the others? is there a certain price point i should start at? has anybody won cosmopolitan hotel for possible advice and tips?? i see a lot of vdara wins, which i might consider for the week we're going for (6/8-6/12) thank you so much!
