  1. At a $50+ per nite price difference it becomes something to think about, but at only $20/nite difference it's an easy decision, imo... i would take the Venetian. When i saw the price drop from when i had looked just a few hours earlier i was thinking to myself, 'you got lucky before you even got to Vegas!' 2. Both are on hotwire: 4.5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - High Roller Promenade for $101 Free internet Pet friendly Boutique hotel Casino Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) ==> The Cromwell HOWEVER, the Venetian just went down in price: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $121 Free parking Free internet Suite Resort Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center ==> Venetian You can view/identify each by: 1) search using our BiddingHelper.com tool 2) go to the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab 3) hover your mouse (or click) the 'FIND MATCH from HOTEL LIST' button) Assuming it's within your budget, for the extra $20/nite i would go with the Venetian as it is truly a 5 star hotel and their standard rooms are oversized and top-notch. 3. Yes, i saw Bally's too at $92/nite, but at this price the hotel is sort of in "no man's land"... for the extra $10 i would sooner stay at The Cromwell or i would go cheaper and 'drop' to the Linq at half the price. I have stayed at Ballys before, and the renovated rooms are nice, but at this price i don't think it's a very good value given the other options... i would either save the money and go for the Linq or spend just a bit more and try the Cromwell. The Cosmopolitan does come up on PRICELINE / HOTWIRE but the current regular price at this property for for your dates is $407/nite so the chances of you seeing this hotel at a 'great deal' is fairly low... and if you were looking to spend around $150+ i'd sooner suggest the Venetian. EDIT TO ADD: i do see... 5* The Strip - Central West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $315/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> the Cosmopolitan is my best guess here, but as per above, for about half the price i would sooner go with the Venetian Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 4. (i was typing my reply as you made your last post)... Unfortunately the Palazzo deal is no longer offered (as well as it being for different dates than what you're currently searching). What i'm currently seeing: The Linq - $42/nite (hotel recently renovated and become a 'cool' spot, but still not at the level of the 'upper tier' properties... but at this price it becomes a question of value vs. paying up for something a little nicer) Treasure Island - $74/nite (personally i have never stayed at the Linq, but i have walked thru it many times, given the cost different i would probably try the Linq vs. TI, but again, i've never stayed at The Linq so can't speak definitively about it, but for the price difference i would go with the less expensive Linq) Cromwell - $101/nite (this is a small property that was a make-over from Wild Bill's Gaming Saloon... the casino is still a bit old, dark, and smokey, but apparently the makeover has brought this property to the 4.5 star level; they did try to classify this as a 5 star hotel right after the renovations but it wasn't quite up to that level. The 'overall' property is not up to the 4.5* level of other Vegas properties, but some people like it) Mirage - $118/nite Caesars - $138/nite Venetian - $164/nite I think the above covers your best bet at each price point... if you're on a tight budget i'd consider the Linq and spend the savings on something 'extra nice' while you're in Vegas (a dinner you wouldn't necessarily splurge on otherwise, take a limo ride if that is your thing, a $100 bet on black (or red as the case may be), etc, etc). Cromwell i don't 'get' as it's not one of the mega-resorts that are typical of the higher-end hotels, but i do know they are trying to develop a name for themselves and there is often a long line to get into their nightclub on one of the upper floors... at the mid-price i would give this a try or Mirage which is getting a little long in the tooth but 'classic' Vegas... at the higher end if budget is not as much of an issue i think Venetian standard rooms are worth the extra $25 more than the standard Caesar rooms. 5. This one: 3.5* HOTWIRE Downtown - Las Olas for $196 Free breakfast Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center ==> yes, the Element Fort Lauderdale Downtown is our best guess for this one as well (as seen from Reveal Hotels ) Are you trying to target this property or looking for something else? 6. For this offer: 3.5* Fort Lauderdale Downtown - Cruise Port - Convention Center (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $201/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> best guess for this property would be the Element Hotel From priceline's description of the RIVERSIDE HOTEL they do have a pool, so the pool amenity would not exclude this property. From priceline's checkout page for the ELEMENT HOTEL they do not show a resort fee... i'm not sure if the 'Destination Amenity Fee' (as the Element calls it) is bundled into the 'Taxes' line item shown by priceline or if it's simply not in the system yet given that this is a fairly new property. 7. Glad to hear you received the limitless resort credits too... hope it was as good of a trip as it sounds! Thanks for the report and addition to the Puerta Vallarta Priceline Hotel List.
  8. You're welcome. Is the Pan Pacific the only hotel you're interested in or would something else near the port also work for your needs? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  9. So for this hotel: 4.5* HOTWIRE Downtown - Coal Harbour, Convention Center, & Stanley Park for $157 Resort Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Golf nearby ==> i agree with your guess of the Pan Pacific If you're not, be aware that our BiddingHelper.com tool will identify just about any HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS offers... just do your search at Bidding Helper, click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab, and then hover your mouse over the 'SEE MATCH from HOTEL LIST' button. Back to your bed situation... Some HOTWIRE (and PRICELINE EXPRESS) hotels will show a Bed Choice option where you can choose the room configuration that you want. Unfortunately this property does not show a room choice, which means that the actual room will be assigned at check-in based upon availability. When no room choice is assigned you can usually call the hotel ahead of time and request the room type that you want. Most hotels will note this request on your reservation and will do what they can to accommodate... a few hotels will indicate that they can't make any changes to the reservation or that a room can't be determined until check-in (often in this situation i may just say 'thank you' and call back in 2-3 days and hope for a different front desk person to answer the phone... i also try to call when i assume they won't be too busy; never at 11am check-out time or 3-4pm check-in time so that the person on the phone may be willing to take a little extra time vs. if they have a line of people waiting in front of them. If this too fails, i then may do a little homework, find the email address of the hotel manager, and send an email indicating that i'm looking forward to my stay, it's a special occasion, and make my bed type known). One thing in your favor at this property is that the hotel charges the same for rooms with 1 King bed vs. rooms with 2 beds. In some areas (such as Las Vegas) hotels charge more for rooms with 2 beds, and therefore if that is the room type you are seeking, it may become a little more difficult since you're not just making a bedding request, but seeking the more expensive room type. Lastly, the Pan Pacific Vancouver is selling for about $223 for your nite above, so the question also becomes is the ~$65 savings worth the chance that you may or may not get the room configuration that you want. If a 2 bedded room was $150 would it be acceptable? at $125? at $100? Typically at some point the possibility of not getting the room type you want becomes worthwhile in exchange for the amount of the savings. Do you have an amount in mind where staying right near the cruise pier becomes worthwhile even if you were to only receive a room with two beds... or is a room with two beds a deal breaker at any price? If this is a deal breaker, what is your budget for a room this trip for a one bedded room? 10. Welcome to BetterBidding! Let us first have a look at the offer (we will confirm that we agree with your guess of the Pan Pacific) and we'll then be able to investigate what your bedding options may be. So we can research this for you, what are the dates of your stay and the room rate for the hotel offer you're looking at? 12. Congratulations on your success! Looks like a nice deal... thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add the amenity set for this property to the Denver Priceline Express Hotel List. To confirm, this is showing as 4.5 star in your confirmation email, as i'm currently seeing the Westin Downtown listed as 4 stars by Priceline (if you're seeing at 4.5 star we will mark it as such, assuming that it was a recent upgrade and it is taking a little while for the new rating to be reflected on the 'retail' side of their service) Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  13. Congratulations on your success! Nice to see you're happy with the win... $70 savings on a $99 purchase seems like a pretty good discount, imo. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  14. NicoleFnJane, Thanks for the info! AMBERW, As i'm sure you're finding out, or were already aware, historically this is one of the most expensive weekends in NYC. What are your needs from a hotel for this nite and what is your maximum budget? (per nite before fees/taxes) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  15. We have recently added a new feature to the BiddingHelper.com which should easily identify this, as well as most other, hotels... 1) search with the BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse over (or click) the 'SEE MATCH from HOTEL LIST' Using the method above: 3* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $120/nite with: Free Breakfast Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Queens County Inn and Suites Long Island City is the best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  16. AWESOME! Glad to hear it went as well as you expected and you have a great time. Thanks for the follow-up!
  17. GREAT NEWS! Glad to see you resolved the issue above and received the hotel you were hoping for... we're happy to have been able to help. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Have a great trip and fun at the parks!
  18. For the link you posted if i click it i see Bonnet Creek. If i RIGHT click and open in private browsing mode i see Maingate West (so under specific conditions i am able to replicate your issue). HOWEVER, for the link i posted i see Bonnet Creek no matter if i open the link 'regular' or in private mode. I suspect a glitch in their system since even when i do see the 'Maingate West' it also indicates 'Someone recently got the Hilton Orlando-Bonnet Creek Resort' which is a hotel in the Bonnet Creek zone (not the Maingate West zone). Are you searching using incognito mode and/or private browsing? If so, i would start over clicking the link in provided above in 'regular' mode and see if you continue to see Maingate West or if you now see Bonnet Creek. If you're trying to target a hotel in the Bonnet Creek zone i would not proceed with a purchase unless the purchase page indicated this zone (and to be on the safe side i would also take a screen shot of the booking page as it will make it easier to plead your case should there be an issue) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know if you're ultimately able to get the page to appear as Bonnet Creek when browser is in 'regular' mode. Also, have you tried a different browser as well?
  19. That links takes me to the booking page (the page after clicking BOOK) and also shows me 'Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek Area'. You're seeing Maingate West when clicking the link above?
  20. Again, exactly which link are you clicking (can you copy/paste in your reply) as there is no filtering available at THIS PAGE (which is the same link that i have posted from above) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  21. When i click the '4 star Bonnet Creek' link immediately above i'm taken to... THIS PAGE ... which also indicates Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek Area EXACTLY what steps are you taking to get the 'Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek Area' to change to 'Disney Maingate West' as there shouldn't be any filter or review links after clicking the link above, as well, everything seems to be working correctly for me. If you're being redirected to a different hotel/zone, is the hotel offer for Maingate West is the price still $252/nite? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  22. I'm not following.... When you click the link above where in the process does it change to Maingate West... i see 'Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek Area' when clicking the link above and again when i click the BOOK button. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

For this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer: 4 star Bonnet Creek (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $252/nite: Swimming Pool No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Handicapped Rooms/Facilities Restaurant ==> Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge would be the best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
