When useing priceline how last minute can I bid. Dh is the kind of guy that say let go now. So can I book with priceline or hotwire the same day? Also does it usually get cheaper closer to the dates.

I believe it is up to 6pm the day of arrival.

From what I understand, reservations can now be made up to 11pm on the check in day. That doesn't mean, though, that all hotels or zones will take bids that late. Try to make it as early as possible.

From Priceline's Help section the cutoff time for same day bidding is 11pm Eastern Time.
If you're in New York you can make a same day bid until 11pm, but on the West Coast only until 8pm. |

I just saw the following on HOTWIRE:
