  1. This is a new property to be added to the Priceline Express Hotel List Amenities shown: Free internet, Gym/Spa, Non Smoking, Pool, Restaurant. Also the deal said when it was in the list with all the other deals that it was at least 8.0/10. However, when I went to purchase it, it stated 9.0/10. This is different to the NYOP where it says 7+ for a 5* hotel, which makes the Sofitel Wentworth a possibility for NYOP but not for PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals. Room price:$156.00 avg./night Number of rooms:1 room Number of nights:2 nights I am very happy with this deal as the best available rate elsewhere is US$439.
  2. Tried to post this via the link at the top of this thread to report a win but have been trying for about 15 minutes and it won't submit but won't tell me why so I am trying it as a simple reply to the thread to see if that works instead. HOTWIRE (your link) AUD$131.44/night (before fees etc.) New property: Hotel Carrobbio, 4* hotel MILAN Duomo, etc. Amenities: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  3. Using your PRICELINE link, we purchased this express deal. Amenities shown were: Free internet Smoke-free rooms Also shown as a 7+/10. I think this is a new property to add to the PRICELINE Hotels List. BTW, using your link we initially tried to bid for $72 thinking we may get the express deal hotel cheaper. The bid was rejected and a counter-offer of $90 was made instead. We rejected that and went back in via your link and purchased the Express Deal instead. Thanks
  4. First of all using your PRICELINE link we bid at 100 USD and got a counter for 121. Went back out and again using your link chose 103 USD. Got the same counter offer. Then using your HOTWIRE link, we saw this deal at AUD 709 (sorry we didn't choose USD so not sure about that price) and thought because it said "boutique hotel" it was most likely not Le Meridien. Amenities shown are: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services, Children's activities Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower A little cheeky of them to call Le Meridien a Boutique Hotel don't you think? Any idea how many rooms a hotel has when it is no longer considered boutique? 381 is quite large! The hotel will suit our needs fine but I am tempted to contact hotwire re the boutique hotel listing. Thanks
  5. Prices are crazy! Have tried to bid on 5* city centre area using your PRICELINE link at the following increments: 180, 185, 187. No success and no counter-offer. Thought we may be lucky with the stay only a few days away. Guessing the 5* that we are bidding on must be the Grand Hotel et de Milan as the lowest priced 5* is actually less than the express deal offer.
  6. Thanks. The price appears to have changed but I still only see the amenities I mentioned when I click through to HOTWIRE via your links. However, you're correct that it also shows Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Business center, Internet access on your Bidding Helper page. My friends (on whose behalf I am looking and booking) would be happy with the Hotel Trianon as it is well located and has good reviews. Thanks for your help.
  7. Using your HOTWIRE link as always, I see the following 4* hotel in the Saint Germain - Luxembourg Gardens - Invalides area. I am wondering if it may be the Best Western Trianon Rive Gauche. I'd like to know your thoughts. The amenities don't directly match any properties on the hotels list. Amenitites listed are: Free Internet Business center Smoke-free rooms Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks. I ended up splitting the stay and doing an airport zone booking and a Central Park South booking using your PRICELINE links. Using your PRICELINE link, I looked at the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals and saw this one. Rating 8+/10 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center I looked in the retail part of PRICELINE and saw there were six 4.5* hotels in the zone. I then worked out that it was Le Parker Meridien because the others either didn't allow pets, didn't have swimming pools or did not have the relevant minimum guest rating. This is a new one to add to the Hotels List. Thanks for your help. I will continue using your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for my research and purchases.
  9. Using your PRICELINE link and going out and back in via it each time I rebid with free rebid zones, I eventually successfully bid for the Sheraton JFK Airport Hotel at $150. There was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $201. I started bidding at $120 and got a counter-offer of $176. I kept bidding in $5 increments until I had success at $150. Thanks for your forum. I will continue using your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and reporting back.
  10. Hi, My sister is travelling to NYC from 5-8 October and is looking for a hotel (3-5 stars) in the following PRICELINE zones: Central Park South Rockerfeller/Bryant Park Grand Central Terminal (if we can work out it is likely to be on the Park Avenue side based on previous experiences reported) Midtown East Chelsea The AUD to USD exchange rate is pretty poor at the moment so already expensive hotels during this period are even more so. We were thinking it may be best to have a cancellable reservation up our sleeve while we continue browsing PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals using your link (as always) or perhaps bidding through PRICELINE NYOP. I know that you have hotel pages that you get referral commissions from and would like to support you. I would also like to know which pages I can use to get a reservation that is both cancellable and a pay later (i.e. at check-in or check-out) rather than having to pay in full now. That's better than having to wait on a refund if we then find a PRICELINE hotel instead. Thanks in advance
  11. NOTE: The zones have changed for Paris. There is now Louvre - Vendome - Concorde - Les Halles - 1st Arr. - 2nd Arr - and Opera - Saint-Lazare Station - Galeries Lafayette - 9th Arr.for the other former Opera zone. This was for the Louvre - Vendome - Concorde - Les Halles - 1st Arr. - 2nd Arr. Using your PRICELINE link and going back out and back in using your link and rebid zones, I noted the Express Deal of $263 and thought I would start my bidding at 200USD which was rejected. A counter offer of $268 was offered. I closed out and went back in using your link. Then bid $205 also rejected with same counter offer of $268 Then $210 also rejected with same counter offer of $268. I then left it there. Overnight (we are in Austalia) I received a 10% off NYOP coupon so I thought I'd try my luck again. Using your PRICELINE link, I bid $225. Received a counter offer of $265. Closed out. Went back in with your link. Bid $230. Same counter offer received. Bid $233 and had success! This appears to be a saving of 52% which we are very happy with! I will continue using your links for my research and purchases. Total cost $1669.15. The rate for the say when booking through PRICELINE in the retail part is a total of $3,488.66.
  12. Hey, Using your PRICELINE link I was looking for a hotel in Paris 22-29 June. I looked at PRICELINE Express Deals and it indicated that some of them were revealed ("Deal revealed just for you!"). I thought this may help to add some further properties to the hotel list. I haven't purchased anything at this stage but was merely getting a feel for prices. I will of course use your links when it comes to further research and purchasing and report back to the board with any purchases. Thanks, 4* Eiffel Tower - Invalides - Grenelle - 7th Arr. 13. I always use your link when I make purchases and when I am doing my research but was wondering if you've got a way around this for me so that I can both bid on a 4.5 star (and hopefully get the Grace again) but that your affiliate link gets used. Using your link I only have the full star options in NYOP however, when I clicked through from an email that had contained express deals on my mobile phone, it then allowed me to select 4.5 stars for Sydney Downtown Opera House through NYOP. I didn't go ahead with bidding as I want to be able to give you the benefit of any purchase. Any tips?
  14. By the way, searching using your PRICELINE link for express deals for the night of 19th March, I note that one of the hotel's names is revealed and thought this might be helpful for you to add to the list. SAVE 16% Limited time only. Expires in 25m 26s The Langham Sydney Downtown - Sydney Opera House Area Map 9.2/10 103 guest ratings Bed choice available Deal revealed just for you! was $377 $368 Choose The Langham Sydney for $367/night Star Rating: 5 star Guest Score: Rated 9.0 out of 10 (or higher) Guaranteed Amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center
  15. A new hotel to add to the board. Even though I am actually looking at hotels for 18-21 March, I note that prices are really high that weekend so thought maybe if I got something for the Monday night I could then add a night (sadly that didn't work out) but in any event using your PRICELINE link, I saw the following express deal: 4.5 stars, Sydney Downtown Opera House area Amenities: Internet, swimming pool, gym/spa Guest score 8+ Room Twin and King Bed - Nonsmoking Superior Room. I suspected with the location and the 4.5 stars that it might be The Grace Hotel and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was. Sadly, PRICELINE said there was no availability for me to check-in a day earlier. I will keep my eyes peeled for other deals closer to the time, of course using your PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links. Thanks,
