I recently got this for $48. I was expecting a beach hotel.

Surprised this is rated as a 3 star, same as the Hilton on the beachfront. This is a standard Holiday Inn with a small unheated pool. Adequate though.

Incidentally, I know this Travelocity's Secret Hotels are not listed on this forum, but the site recently offered me an unnamed 3 star hotel in Fort Lauderdale. After I had paid it turned out to be a 2 star highway La Quinta.

Hotwire also recently gave me a 2.5 star hotel in Ft Pierce. It turned out to be a small motel (the Royal) with no amenities - no gym, pool etc.

In my experience higher star ratings are increasingly being applied to lower standard hotels on Priceline, Hotwire and Secret Rooms, so beware.

This week, there are virtually no great deals to be had on the Florida Coast due to Spring Break
