I'm seeing (generally) more reasonable pricing on HOTWIRE when searching for St Pete - are any listings showing on HOTWIRE for these dates of interest?

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Exactly which zone(s), by PRICELINE name, have you been bidding?

Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

I think you may be successful bidding 4/9-4/11 and then finding a different hotel for the first nite of your stay.

Searching HOTWIRE for 4/9-4/11 i see what i believe to be the Tradewinds Island Grand for $149/nite (note this hotel charges a resort fee).. would this work for your plans?

I took your advice and went back to PRICELINE link through this site and got the Tradewinds for 4/9/10-4/11/10
Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$125.00 (USD)
Number of Rooms:2
Number of Nights:2
Room Subtotal:$500.00 (USD)
Taxes and Fees:$76.68 (USD)
Total Room Cost:$576.68 (USD)

so even better deal than on HOTWIRE!

any suggestions for 4/8/10 that would be nearby ??

thanks for the advice

Does your total cost include the daily resort rate? Seems like I read that there's an additional $25 per day resort rate for many 4* beachfront properties.

Even so..it would still be a pretty good deal IMHO.

50sGuy

The resort fee the hotels charge you is never included in the price. It's the same with HOTWIRE
