I am a student and don't have much budget for the trip to CA.

I need help on how to bid a hotel in San Diego for ~$30. And I have a rental car so I hope parking is free.

Suggestions wanted! I hope the hotel is 2.5* or plus.

Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Not sure if you're going to be able to find something within your budget, but for starters... which zone(s) of San Diego are you looking to stay?

I am not quite familiar with San Diego. I think I just hope they have free parking. I will be going to Sea World but I dont care if the hotel is far from there.

Which zone is the cheapest and hopefully...safe?

There are motels with free parking near SeaWorld, but I'm not sure about ~$30.

Rates vary by date. What are your travel dates?

Is one bed enough?

One possibility: the Goodnite Inn-Seaworld is $36 on the hotel's website, parking included.

www.goodniteinn.com

I can't vouch for the hotel but you can read the reviews at TripAdvisor and see if you think it will work for you.

Goodnite Inn's total cost with taxes for three nights is $108. A $29 bid on Priceline will cost $106.32 after Priceline fee, and that's not guaranteed to have free parking. At this price point I think free parking is likely but it's not guaranteed.

If you still want to try Priceline I'll suggest bidding $25 for a 2* in Point Loma-Shelter Island-Old Town and Mission Valley zones.

If rejected try $25 for a 1* in the same two zones.

Please use this PRICELINE link if you go that route, or let us know what you decide. Good luck!

I finally bid today and succeed in getting Kings Inn for $25 per night, including taxes and fees for a total of $92 for 3 nights!

Thanks betterbidding!

Congratulations on your success. :)

Pretty terrific deal, at more than half off the price showing on Expedia.

Sweet deal for $25.

King's Inn has free parking, and breakfast and internet are included too!

Since $25 was your first bid I wonder if something lower would have worked?
