I would like to bid for a resort level room for 2 in Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii for 6 nights, 3/29-4/5. My budget is anywhere from $100-$200 per night. I tried the strategy from this post: Priceline Kauai, Hawaii 4/15-4/22 but got rejected. I tried first $95 for Poipu only, then added Princeville and changed it to $100. Judging from the list of hotels and the current prices on Expedia or other places, it looks most likely that I'd get the Sheraton. Is that right? What strategy should I use? I'd like to book something relatively soon because I'm getting nervous. Thanks!

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $120, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Select Resort Poipu...
Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $140, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Select Resort Poipu...
Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $150, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Select Resort Poipu...
Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $160, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Select Resort Poipu...
Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $170, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Select Resort Poipu...
Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $180, if rejected close broswer and wait 24 hours

Tried again tonight using your PRICELINE link, $130 then $140. No luck-- will try again tomorrow.

Tried again last night using your PRICELINE link, $165 then $170. No luck-- will try again tonight. I see 4* on HOTWIRE for Poipu for $189/night now. I think that's the Sheraton. If I don't get it tomorrow I think I might do that.

If you'd like us to have a look/confirm the Poipu property please post the amenities HOTWIRE associates with that property.

I panicked and went ahead with the hotwire offer for $183/night. It was indeed the Sheraton. Thanks for all your help!

I just booked the Sheraton resort in Poipu for $183/night from 3/29 to 4/4.
