The above matches previous reports for the Sheraton Waikiki and the Marriott Beach Resort, so either of these would be my best guess.

If it helps determine between the two, the hotel is 75% recommended based on 400 reviews. I'm already at the Hyatt Regency for a few days so I would prefer something on the beach for the remainder of my stay, therefore would hope for Sheraton!!

Thanks for any more feedback! BTW, there are very few choices in my search....any reasons why or is this normal? This is my very first time using PRICELINE or HOTWIRE so I'm unfamiliar.

Never Mind...Apparently, it's for the Waikiki Parc Hotel! I didn't know they had offered hotels (as well as hidden )!

There is currently no cross-reference for the percent of HOTWIRE customers or the number of reviews, so that information doesn't help narrow the possibilities for the property above.

HOTWIRE will only show one hotel at each star level in each zone (the hotel with the lowest price is the one offered)

Just thinking out loud. If I want to get a specific hotel, but the icons indicate a possibility of 2 hotels, has anyone ever tried bidding for 1 night, with the idea that if it was the desired hotel, one could extend the stay. I know that PRICELINE states that we can extend the winning bid. Is that the same with HOTWIRE?

No, you can't extend your stay with HOTWIRE in the same way as PRICELINE.

If this seems like a good deal you may want to consider seeing if this property is avaialble for the first, or last, nite of your stay, and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to "look behind the curtain" and confirm the hotel's identity... if you're happy with the results go ahead and purchase the balance of your stay.

Sorry in advance for what might seem like a stupid question but has anyone ever searched with the same variables (no change in request), and in the course of several searches during a given day, gotten the same icons as a response, with a slight variance in price. In my case, I'm getting a price of $119 in one search, then $116 in another search, with all icons staying the same. I'm wondering whether one might be the Mariott(lat $116), and Sheraton ( at $119 ). Have you ever gotten this observation from anyone else or am I just barking mad?

Yes, HOTWIRE changes the price by a few dollars from search-to-search so that the $115 hotel in this zone isn't awlays HotelA while the $121 hotel in the zone isn't always HotelB. While you could be seeing different hotels on each search, more likely they're the same offering.

Update: I got the Marriott Waikiki 04/09-04/14 @ $116 per night. Not the Sheraton as I'd hoped but I do appreciate the feedback from Thereyouare and Yellowdog!
