I just returned from the Scottsdale resort and wanted to express my opinion. After reading many posts on this board about people not wanting to get this resort I was wary of my stay here. I have to say that we were very happy once we arrived. There is a $19 resort fee per day but that covers the valet parking, 2 hour bike rental, in room wi-fi, 1 hr tennis court time and several other items. We were given 2 for 1 coupons for the breakfast and brunch buffets as well. We received more benefits for the resort fee here than at many other places we have stayed.

I was happy with the size of the room, the staff, the hotel setup, the free pool tables in the bar and the pool area. Not sure why others do not want to stay here as we would gladly come back. I have stayed at the JW Marriott and definitely like it there too but I would not balk at getting the Scottsdale Resort next time I'm in the area.
